I'm a Saints fan and have been one for about 20 years or so, maybe longer but thats about as far as the old memory goes back anyway! Now the Saints have had to deal with being the jokes of the league pretty much since the beginning of their team. But a time few times that us Saints fans will always remember and hold onto is when the great 49er teams with Montana and Riace were running qwild in the NFL the Saints were in the same division winning 12 and 13 games a year. Now back thenb I think they only had one "WildCard" team so that why we could not get to the playoffs anymore than we did. But one of the times we did make it it was great, we beat the SuperBowl Champion Rams when "Hakim dropped the ball." That was the second win in two weeks against the Rams, at their place I think. This was the biggest victory in Saints history up to date.

Sorry guys just a little rant into some Saints history for those who did not know or give a crap..........

P.S. I'm a Saints fan from Louisiana who just moved to SC and god am I home sick!!!!

I used to always root for the Saints whenever they played a team I didn't like. I remember going to the draft every year in NYC in the 80s.. there was always this black guy with dreads who was there every year all decked out in Saints stuff and who used to chant "Who dat gwanna beat dem Saints" whenever the Saints were on the clock. Any idea who that guy might have been? He was a riot.

Yes Archie is a Saint, he still does local T.V. games for the team, or at least he did last year.

What do you think of Ryan Moats from LA Tech? I've talked to him a bunch of times and he's been a poster on our message boards. I absolutely love this kid and I hear the Saints have some interest.

I love the kid. He is a great guy from everything I have heard. Yeah, I heard the same thing about the Saints being interested in him, but with the recent signing of Antowain Smith I doubt they do it unless someone drops way past where they should. But on the other hand they did the same thing with Sam Gash last year then cut him right before the season started.

Antowain is no competition for this kid, SC...trust me...they are TOTALLY different types of backs and their carries would be at different points/situations in a game. I could probably outrun Antowain now...lol.

Let my stat that I did not mean Smith could run with Moats. But I just dont think we have a roster spot for him. We also signed Aaron Stecker from the Bucs last years as our scat back. But I would be happy if the Saints got Moats and now a lot of people who would.

What part of SC do you live in? And by SC do you mean South Carolina or Southern California?

Florence!!! Just got here about a year ago from Lake Charles, LA. That was home and i'm sick cause I miss it so much. But this place is cool, I guess. People are nice but the work sucks. Only about an hour from Myrtle Beach!!!
I went through Greenville on my way to Chicago in Febuary!

I had a good friend in lake Charles named Dave Funderburk and his wife's name was Angie--they had three kids. You wouldn't just happen to know them??

Oh yeahm Lake Charles is a lot bigger! Well it looks like it at least. More building in L.C. Florence is spread out wide. They do have NASCAR here, BIG TIME. I can be on the track at Darlington in 20 minutes or so.
Nope his name does not ring a beal but glad to hear you have someone back home. I'm 28 years old, is he about my age? My wife went to McNeese State so if they went to school I must know them or someone they know. If you ever get to go, GO, you'll love it. Food, Parties, Gambling, everything you need to have a good time... God I'm Home Sick!!!
