1)REGGIE BUSH RB USC
The Heisman is his; signed, sealed, and delivered in New York. Young may make it close, but in the end it would take a miracle for him not to win it. He has shredded defenses all over national television and his performance against Fresno State anhcored his spot as the winner.
STATS: 1398 rushing yards, 383 receiving yards, 178 punt return yards.
2)VINCE YOUNG
After spanking Colorado 70-3, Vince Young proved he was the 2nd best player in the race. His stats are very well and has been making the race competitive. he has said he will go back to college, but with him being in New York and the National Championship game, I would think he might opt for the NFL. Its possible that Bush and Leinart could split some votes getting him the trophy.
STATS: 2576 yards, 165.0 passer rating(3rd in Nation) 23 TDs/9INTs
3) MATT LEINART QB USC
While Bush gets most of the credit now, Leinart isnt a slouch. He is 5th in passer rating in the country. He has carried the team in close games and still is the leader of this offense. I for one would like to see a 2-time winner, but I dont believe that will be the case.
