...so far.

I believe we were the first scouting service to predict after last year's combine that the former Arkansas QB would be a first round pick. I remember us taking some heat over that at the time.

Not only was Matt picked in the first round as we predicted, but he has certainly turned lots of heads in Jacksonville and across the NFL. Did you guys see that crazy one-handed grab between two defenders last night for a 46-yard gain?

This guy (6'6", 242 pounds and a 4.4 forty) truly is a freak of nature, and looks like the Jags investment may payoff handsomely in the long run.

I don't know. That catch was nice, but 2 guys on the defense literally fell on that play and it left him wide open. If he didn't make the catch, we'd all be on him right now and how he didn't, but he did make it, so now people are all up on him. It's only preseason, and when he lines up at slot being 6-6, is going to have a huge advantage and will get stats that don't truly show his true skills. We will see in 2-3 years after Jimmy Smith retires.

He's a good player, and I remeber when you first put him in the 1st to the Pats. At first I was skeptical but then I agreed with your decision.

I think he will be a huge matchup problem and a very productive player with Leftwich pulling the trigger......He is going to make Leftwich look dam good also.

Absolutely he will Chris. He could single-handedly resurrect that offense and save Leftwich.

With the Jags running a new offense that will feature, more heavily, the deep ball, a guy with his speed and height will be very important. He'll get behind defenders and Leftwich can literally just heave the ball up there for him to run and jump and catch.

As for that impressive catch the other night, it is important to see that he can make those off-balance, one-handed catches. Body control is so very important for a receiver and one, like Jones, who can leap and contort and still maintain focus on the ball is vital.
