Many people may not have seen this game because of the ND/SC game, but this was a damn good game. I was lucky enough to be among the 111,249 fans in attendance to host the unbeaten Nittany Lions. I didnt get the commentary, so I may have missed a few things, but me and my buddy scouted the game pretty closely. Michigan ended up winning on a last second play, where the crowd went nuts! It was a fantastic game, and in case you were wondering, no I didnt root for UM at any time during the day.

MICHIGAN

Gabe Watson 78 604.0 333 5.18 NT -Did get some pressures today. He started, which he usually dosent. Im still not seeing where this guy is first round talent. NEUTRAL

Jason Avant 8 601.0 209 N/A WR -Continues to look good. I really got to see how crisp and precise he sold his routes, he is one of the better ones out there. He really has a home in the NFL. POSITIVE

Pierre Woods 99 605.0 248 N/A LB -Not as active as Im used to seeing. Hes usually all over the field making plays, I didnt see as much of that today. NEUTRAL

Steve Breaston 15 601.0 181 N/A WR -As a KR, he is very good! As a receiver, he is not good. Breaston set up the field for UM to work with in order to get the final TD. He will be drafted on his speed alone, but I dont think he can make it as a receiver. POSITIVE

Adam Stenavich 79 605.0 317 5.1 OT -Left the game with an injury. He should be back next week. Looked good when he was in fighting off Tamba Hali. POSITIVE

Matt Lentz 67 606.0 305 5.1 C -Did good against Alford and the tackles. Hes a mammoth in person. POSITIVE

Tim Massaquoi 88 604.0 248 4.7 TE -Still playing injured and is used uniformly as a blocker. A very 1-D TE at this point. NEUTRAL

LaMarr Woodley 56 602.0 248 4.6 LB -Continues to be Merriman-like and making plays at end and at linebacker. He was probably the best overall NFL prospect in this game and showed why. All he does is injure people. POSITIVE

Pat Massey 94 608.0 284 5.3 DT -A waste of talent and space IMO. Why he dosent have 8 sacks by now is beyond me. He has the size and strength to be dominant. NEGATIVE

Jake Long 607.0 338 N/A OT-Young, big, good. He is going to be a top RT whenever he comes out either next year or 2008. Insane potential. POSITIVE

Tyler Ecker 606.0 250 N/A TE -I like this kid more and more. Makes amazing catches and his balance and demenaor for his size are second to none. Every TE that has played for UM has been drafted, he will be next no doubt. VERY POSITIVE

Mark Bihl 54 604.0 301 N/A C -Didnt see alot of him due to Lentz playing mostly at C. N/A

PENN STATE

Alan Zemaitis 21 602.0 202 4.45 CB-Looked good in covering the UM wideouts. He took the ball from a receiver(dont remember which one) and took it back to the house! He really lets the play come to him which you could say is smart or is unagressive, dpending on your point of view. On the last play, he was a few steps behind Manningham, who caught the final TD. Other than that play, he was good. Great closing speed. POSITIVE

Tamba Hali 91 603.0 262 4.8 DE -Contiues to get better. He was doubled a lot and still was able to make plays. Wasnt dominant like in the OSU game, but very sound. SLIGHTLY POSITIVE

Paul Posluszny 31 602.0 230 4.7 LB-I figured out who he reminds me of..Dan Morgan at Miami. He is one of the most perfect tacklers in the NCAA and he simply dosent let anything get by him. A tackle machine. POSITIVE

Dan Connor 40 603.0 230 N/A LB -Another talented linebacker. He played as well as Posluszny and had some key stops. He is going to be pretty good. POSITIVE

Calvin Lowry 10 600.0 200 4.7 S -Plays the 'hero' position for the Nittany Lions. Is a nice safety valve to have in the backfield. Only returned 1 or 2 punts today. usually comes up with a big play, but didnt on Sat. NEUTRAL.

Anwar Phillips-I got to see his footwork and speed and am excited to see where he is going to end up. I think he gets overshadowed by AZ. I think he is going to run well and will raise his stock at combines and pro days. He looked good. POSITIVE

It was a great game. I think the MSU/PSU rivalry is much more intense. Tune in Nov 19th to check out that game!

Yes! Very nice review.

So, Alan looked faster than we've been hearing, Adam?

I'm glad you like Ecker. I see him as a possible 2nd-3rd TE in this draft. May go ahead of Day because of his production this year so far.

If i remember right he took it from Henne

ya that was me, but when i saw the winning play it looked like Zemaitis was playing zone and a safety or LB was suppose to pick up that middle but it looked like that person picked up another route

I went straight from this game to the SC/ND game to the incredible comeback of UCLA. What a great day of college football!

The best day in a long time.

I dont think the final play was all Zemaitis' fault, but he was the closest one to Manningham when he caught it.
