Richmond used an outstanding running attack, led by their QB, to easily handle Towson (who still had slim playoff hopes). The Spiders racked up 274 rushing yards (to only 58 for Towson) with senior QB Stacy Tutt leading the way with 9 carries for 144 yards.

TOWSON PRO PROSPECTS:
Allante Harrison #7 509.5 170 4.52 CB - I'm not sure if was by design or if it was personal playing style, but Harrison played soft coverage nearly all game. Granted, he wasn't tested much, but he'd routinely line up 10 yards off the WR. The Spiders took advantage of this two or three times, throwing 10-15 yard passes to the WR while Harrison hurried to get in on the play. He did make nice tackles once he got to the receiver and showed decent speed in getting there. In fairness, he did get a really good jump a couple of times and broke up intended passed. I was disappointed to see that Harrison seemed almost unwilling to get involved in run support, especially against a team that ran the ball almost exclusively. Harrison is small, but he is a sure tackler and needs to be in position to make plays near the line of scrimmage. When he lined up 10 yards off the receiver, even in obvious running situations, he was never able to get involved in the play. (NEGATIVE)

RICHMOND PRO PROSPECTS:
None

Others to watch:
Stacy Tutt (RS Senior QB) - Tutt will never make it as a QB at the next level, but he is such an outstanding athlete (6'2" 230#) that he could make a roster as a utility player. He runs the ball well and has good power. He'd also be dangerous on an option play. I could also see him being a good special teams player.

Allante called me yesterday to say his film is on the way. Sorry to hear he did not play well. How did you ever catch this game on TV? I've only seen a very few A-10 games listed all year.

BTW, have you talked to Allante? Now is the time since they didn't make the playoffs....

Comcast has an A-10 game of the week at noon each week in the Philly market. I've been able to see Villanova, Delaware, New Hampshire, Hofstra, UMass, and now Towson and Richmond (or at least parts of the games) this year already.

Geez...wanna trade any tapes???...or maybe you should have the A-10 next year.

I mostly watched the games for a few key performers rather than scouting the games in depth. I don't have any of them taped (I save them to the hard-drive of the DVR and then delete them when I am done reviewing them).

I have to figure out if I can record from my DVR's hard drive out to my computer onto a DVD. That would be awesome if I could do that.

I might be interested in taking the A-10 next season, although I'd probably want to consider giving up half of the position ranks (either offense or defense) if I took on another conference. The SEC is huge!

Yea...I'd just as soon keep it, especially if I could get game film from you. But we'll keep that in mind.

Jeff, not sure if you're aware of this but if you feel like splurging for a DVD burner (I believe decent brands cost around $200) then you can burn DVD's directly from your DVR. Your DVR unit should have an S-Video Out port which you can connect to the DVD burner with an S-Video cable. Simply press record and the DVD will record anything you are watching at the moment on your TV. I was thinking about getting one myself since I'm starting to run out of space on my DVR.. it's probably all the Laguna Beach episodes I have taped (I'm a sucker for teenage drama guys).

Could I also use an S-Video cable to connect to my laptop with a DVD burner? My DVR unit has a handy little USB port right on the front panel, so I don't know if there's something that I could use with that.

I've asked about it on the Comcast Help Forums and I keep hearing that it is NOT possible to download from my DVR hard drive to a DVD. (There is a Copy to VCR feature, but I'd much prefer to do it to DVD.)

Unfortunately, you can't connect the DVR to the laptop and burn a CD. The only way to do it is with a DVD burner. I'm not sure why Comcast says you can't record your DVR stuff to a DVD, you should be fine with a burner. I know it works just fine with DirecTV DVRs.
