Boston College
Mathias Kkiwanuka, DE-After playing one of the best games of his career last week Mathias showed no signs of let down this week. Mathias put up 2 and half sacks today after posting 4 and half sacks last week giving him 7 sacks in two games. Makes you wonder what kind of season he would have had were he not hampered by injuries earlier in the year. Mathias was all over the field today like usual and really showed why some NFL team will take him very early in the 2006 NFL Draft.-Very positive
Will Blackmon, WR-Blackmon had a productive day today catching 3 passes for 50 yards. Most of that yardage came on a very nice 45 yard route. Blackmon has responded very well to Matt Ryan and been able to run more deep routes because of the QB change.-Slightly positive
Jeremy Trueblood, OT-Once again the BC line had a solid day on the job. They only gave up 1 sack on the day and while clearing the path for over 221 yards rushing on the day. Trueblood has had a very solid season and has not had a single game that made you worry about his ability to play at the next level-Slightly positive
Pat Ross, C-See above-Neutral
Maryland
D'Qwell Jackson, LB-What a surprise Jackson had another spectacular day for the Terrapins. Jackson recorded 16 tackles to go with an interception. His day was a little tougher than usual due to the enormous BC line which was able to take care of Jackson's protection on many plays allowing for big runs.-Neutral
Gerrick McPhearson, CB-McPhearson was able to put up some good numbers today with 7 tackles and a FF and recovery. Made quite a few nice solo tackles-Slightly positive
Vernon Davis, TE-I was expecting Davis to have a much better day today but due to the poor play of Hollenbach and the good BC linebackers his effect was minimized. He still caught 4 passes for 32 yards and a score. He also rushed once for 7 yards. He is very dangerous around the goal line and no matter who the defense has he creates a matchup problem.-Neutral
Stephon Heyer, OT-Still injured
Others to watch:
Lance Ball, RB-From what I have seen he is going to be a solid back. He has great size and pretty good speed. Only a red shirt sophomore and does not look to come out but has had an excellent season this year.-Positive
