For the 3rd straight year the BCS "snub" loses at the Holiday Bowl. Whether its apathy or just bad matchups, Texas, Cal, and Oregon, respectively have supported their argument as a BCS snub by going out and losing. On Thursday, Oregon became the latest victim. After a brutal start to the season, the Sooners look good going into to next season(if Stoops stays of course). Oregon's comeback came just short when Clint Ingram picked off a Brady Leaf pass deep in Oklahome territory to seal the game.

Oklahome PP's:

Davin Joseph- Looked great one play, and horrible the next. He showed that times he can be a great pass blocker but he needs to be more consistent: negative

Travis Wilson- Did not play

Remi Ayodele- Looked good, finished with 1 tackle and .5 TFL. He held his own against the run and showed some nifty moves getting pressure on the QB. He was consistently double teamed and did not get much oppurtunity to make plays: slightly positive

Dusty Dvoracek- Finshed with 5 tackles and a TFL. He has a real nasty streak on him. He looks a lot like Chris Hovan in his early years with the Vikings: very positive

Larry Birdline- Did not play

JD Runnels- Caught a 17 yard touchdown pass from Bomar. Also did a pretty good job blocking for Peterson: positive

Chijioke Onyenegecha- Did not play

Clint Ingram- Sealed the game with his INT late in the game stalling a last minute drive for Oregon. Finished with that INT, 4 tackles, and 1.5 TFL. Is a great leader for his team as well: positive

Others:

Rhett Bomar looked somewhat good, for a freshman he is great, but he has a lot to learn yet, and he needs to accept that. Peterson looked fresh and after a bad start finished with 84 yards rushing.

Rufus Alexander was studly, going sideline to sideline and making big play after big play. He is a junior and has said he will return for his senior season.

Oregon PP's:

Kellen Clemens- Did not play

Demetrius Williams- Finished with 4 catches for 27 yards. He runs good routes but the ball was consistently thrown behind him, and with his speed he could not catch up: slightly negative

Tim Day- Only had 3 catches but one was a very nice TD catch. He looked ok in blocking but thats something that can be worked on at the next level: slightly positive

Devan Long- Finished with 5 tackles and 1.5 TFL. Took advantage of many Ngata double teams to get free and make some plays. Very solid game: positive

Darius Sanders- Did not play

Aaron Gipson- Was good in coverage against WR's, but when he was matched up against a TE, looked horrible. Was lucky to have the WR drop the ball a couple of times. Did not add to his NCAA leading 7 INT's this year: slightly negative

Terrence Whitehead- Has a nifty set of moves but was very inconsistent rushing 12 times for only 49 yards. Credit the Oklahome front line for his lack of production: negative

Haloti Ngata- Was always double teamed which opened up for some big plays for his teammates. Played a lot better than his 2 tackle stats would suggest: positive

Dennis Dixon and Brady Leaf switched off at QB, Oregon will decide which will start in the spring.

Oregon is losing a lot of talent and I don't think they will be able to duplicate the success they've enjoyed this year. Oklahoma on the other hand will be able to get back to something more normal to them, winning.

I think Joseph hasnt enjoyed the move to tackle very much this season and will probably be happier back at the guard position...has been showing excellent run blocking and average pass protection skills at tackle.

Dvoracek has had an excellent season under the radar at one point leading all D-Lineman in TFL this season...

Adrian Peterson is a beast at runningback...Every game commentators make a big deal of his lack of production in the 1st half...It just wasnt Oregon that this happened..its every game...But you begin to see how he just starts running thru and over tacklers and making plays..Peterson is one tough back..I just hopes he survives to make it to the NFL

Even though Bomar gets most attention out of these freshman, this freshman receiving crew of Iglesias,Kelly, and Johnson is going to be a group we will be talking about a lot down the road. Kelly runs good routes and was able to get open numerous times to get a 1st down.
Ngata just commands so much attention that it enables the Oregon LB's to come up and make plays..Your right...There is no stat that could show how this guy effects every play....ala Tommie Harris but bigger and better

I really like Aaron Gibson..Struggled at times in the TE matchup but played pretty well I thought...Most of the Oregon CBs were giving this huge cushion which I didnt understand.

Excellent point on Tim Day..His blocking ability will get better because he has the size and strength to do it.
