This is DCheers I dropped a couple of messages but didn't introduce myself. Sorry bout that. The one thing I need to say is the Texans need to trade down out of that #1 spot. Can Reggie Bush protect David Carr's blind side? Quick answer is NO! Trade it to the Jets and get the #4 pick and a 07 1st rounder cuzz they will still be terrible and New York needs the hype cause Eli is not it and they're trying for those new stadiums. "Broadway" Bush has arrived!

First off welcome to the site, glad to have you.

Secondly, no way should the Texans trade down. This draft is stacked with quality OTs that will be around at the top of the second round (I'm thinking Jonathan Scott, Daryn Colledge, or Andrew Whitworth), but this draft is not stacked with multiple Reggie Bushes.

Welcome to the site. I'll agree with you and disagree with my esteemed colleague here. I think the Texans best move is to trade down. There will be some demand for the #1 pick this year. I think they should trade down even lower than #4 and accumulate some extra picks this year. Say, trade down to the 6-12 range for a 2006 2nd round and a 2007 1st rounder. Then grab a couple starters instead of one RB who will be sharing touches with Dom Davis, who is fine as a starter (with a good O-line, that is).
