I'm So Fly
I like the trade, reunites a pair of HS teammates in Smith and Bush.

Apparently the Pack are in love with White, but I don't agree with the pick

Al Davis has only drafted 2 LB's in the 1st round since he started in oakland, and with Mario available, that wont change

Sinorice at 20? He's pushing the 1st round but hes not that good

WHERE IS ANTONIO CROMARTIE?

And Alan Zemaitis isn't a 1st rounder, and the Steelers won't select a CB Day One

Pretty good draft, i was overly critical sorry

You have Mario Williams's picture in there twice, the second coming where Ngata is supposed to be. Good mock otherwise.

I'm not so sure about the Seattle pick. If I want a true possession WR, I'm in love (not literally) with the kid Hass from Oregon State. Valuewise, Williams should not be take before the 2nd round, and only then if he shows some speed.
BigDan13
Wouldnt the Packers get Hawk?

No, I heard from alot of sources that if LenDale White is available during there pick (which is pretty obvious) that they will grab him.

P.S. Sorry about the copy of the banner, if you want me to change just holler.

True, but honestly, it's very hard to pick a player for the Seattle team because they hardly have no holes they need filled. I would be interested who you would pick? Suggestions, anyone?

Hass is an excellent WR and will be a good #3 in the league. Don't underestimate Williams though. If I was picking for the Hawks, I'd go with someone in the secondary. I wouldn't call it a weakness but I see it as their weakest point. If Simpson or Bing fall to them I'd take either one and let them mature.

A lot certainly depends on what they do about their FA's, especially Alexander and Hutchinson. I think they can get away, if they choose to, with letting Bernard walk as I believe they have Tubbs ready to step in. (He could be a nice pickup for someone like Cincy.) Assuming they bring both of Alexander and Hutchinson back, then I think they could use a WR, especially if Jurevicius leaves, although an OLB sure wouldn't hurt either. Nor would it hurt to add to their DB's. I also think they should look at QB at some point, especially if someone really falls, because long-term Wallace is not the answer should something happen to Hasselbeck.
Devin
No chance Buffalo passes on Williams for Ngata.

Do they play a 3-4 or 4-3?

It would be interesting to see who the runningback for the Seahawks would be for the 2006-07 season. They would most likely have to pick one up in the free agency since there would be no real stars coming after Maroney.

And your right, Wallace isn't the future QB you would want for Seattle. I wonder how they would address there backup QB in the draft or FA.

One thing I think is that the Seahawks will no be as dominate this season as last. They are losing too many star players to free agency.

To be honest, unless Brick is there (highly unlikely, but slightly possible depending on trades, etc.), and if Ngata is still there (also unlikely if I were the SF GM), then Ngata would win out every time over Williams. Buffalo is going to tag Clements. Their biggest needs with no doubt are on the Oline, and at DT. Why, pray tell, would you pass on Ngata if he's available. The day they let Pat Williams leave was the day their Dline became mediocre because they can't stop the run. Ngata would fix that. And it doesn't matter which scheme they play, he can play both.

Well I wanted to know the scheme because I was wondering if Mario Williams would fit.

All I know is that if Green Bay selects Lendell White at number 5, there will be many angry Packer fans. I don't understand why they would do this. The Packers had one of the best offenses in the league not too long ago, and where did it get them? There are so many NFL teams that underestimate the value of a great defense. The Packers should be the first team in the draft to take a defensive player, whether its Hawk or Mario. There are plenty of great offenses in the league, but not too many good defenses. The only way for the Packers to get to the Super Bowl is to select a defensive player. If not, they will waste this pick.

I know Samkon Gado is just rookie, but I just dont see anything special about him. Sure he would be an excellent, solid back-up though.

I totally agree with you. It's the old saying...offense sells tix (GB doesn't have to worry about that)...& defense wins championships. They had a great O a few years ago, but couldn't get to the SB until they got Reggie White. Hawk or Mario is how they should go, and either one would be a nice pick.

Good draft Ramsfan wink.gif B
BONES1
good draft, but i dont think Mario Williams falls to the 10th pick
dcarey20
pretty good

a few things:

it would be hard to see mario slipping to #10. there is no way that he would get past the lions: especially with new defensive coach rod marinelli

demetrius williams in the 1st? i dont think that would happen. he looks more like a late 2nd-early 3rd. chad jackson would go ahead of him.

the steelers would pick antonio cromartie over zemaitis

maroney is a tad bit high at 13... the ravens need a RB, but i think if the best available was maroney, then i think that they would go with jimmy williams. he can start opposite ed reed and he can play nickelback.

overall is was good
eaglesfan
Pretty good, some missing players and a couple big reaches though.

Reaches:

Demetrius Williams- No way he is 1st round material, and over Chad Jackson???
Sinoirce Moss- He could be late 1st round but I dont know about 20th overall.
Alan Zemaitis- He is a 3rd round pick at best, no way he goes ahead of Cromartie, wont happen.
Tye Hill is a little too high at 16.
LenDale White at number 5 could happen, but I dont know, they said they wouldnt pass on him but it could be a smokescreen, but your right it could happen.
DeAngelo to the Jets is a great pick, but since you included trades in your mock the Jets would trade down a few spots to get him where he probaly could be had.
Maroney at 13, the Ravens like powerbacks usually, and in your scenario would probaly go with Jimmy Williams.

Anotonio Cromartie is the guy your missing, if he was healthy in the regular season he would be a top 10 pick maybe close to top 5. He is healthy now and is running around a 4.35 forty time.

Also I doubt the 49ers trade up to number 1, it would be a smart move but they have been indicating they really wanna trade down and are the most likely team to do so.
bigbrewster2000
Your mock looks pretty good. I agree with EF about the reaches and missing players. But, I hate the trade. Mostly because I want Reggie on the Texans biggrin.gif and, I don't think they will trade the pick.
bat_2721
Detroit can go many directions here. If Mario is present they will take him
