One week after almost defeating the Clemson Tigers at home, Wake Forest went on the road to play an NC State team that just beat Florida State. Behind the strong leg of Sam Swank (he's REAL good), the Demon Deacons (6-1, 2-1) kept their ACC Championship Game hopes alive by beating the Wolfpack (3-3, 2-1), 25-23.

Josh Gattis 22 6' 1.5" 210 4.42 S 2007
He can flat out play. Had a huge game this week. Breaks on the ball nicely. Gives good run support. Knows how to step up his game. Game stats: 7 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 forced fumble, 1 INT (sealed the game).

Steve Justice 74 6' 4.0" 280 0.00 C 2008
Smart and strong. Athletic. Quick off the ball. Gets to the second level quickly. Has good footwork. Run blocking and pass pro are good. Played OK this week. Was challenged by having to block Tank Tyler. He didn't have a great game but played well enough to help his team win.

Steve Vallos 75 6' 3.0" 290 0.00 OT 2007
Redeemed himself for last week's performance. Showed why he is listed as a mid-season All-America by FoxSports and Sports Illustrated. Good run blocking and pass protection. Quick footwork.

Jonathan Abbate 5 5' 11.0" 245 0.00 LB 2008
Gets better each week. Knows how to find the ball. Hard-nosed player. Tough. Good cover guy. Game stats: 7 tackles, 1 pass break-up.

Patrick Ghee 30 6' 1.0" 211 0.00 S 2007
Runs to the ball well. Didn't see much action his way. But made plays when he had to. Game stats: 3 takles.

College: North Carolina State Conference: Atlantic Coast

James Newby 78 6' 5.0" 295 0.00 OT 2007
Doesn't hold his block on linebackers all that well. Pass pro is OK at best. Run blocking is OK. Needs to improve his footwork. Might make a better guard.

Leroy Harris 64 6' 3.0" 300 0.00 OG 2007
Started the game at center and then alernated between that position and guard. Athletic. Nice footwork. Blocks well. Will be a good one at the next level.

DeMarcus Tyler 72 6' 2.0" 305 5.10 DT 2007
WOW! Quick off the ball. Slides down the line. Has great extension. Makes plays. Strong. Gave Justice (and the guards) fits all game long. Game stats: 5 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss.

Patrick Lowery 42 6' 1.0" 242 4.75 LB 2007
Tough. Gets off blocks. Makes plays all over. Watched him get cut-blocked and get up right away. Game stats: 6 tackles, 1 QB hurry.

A.J. Davis 3 5' 10.0" 191 4.40 CB 2007
Good cover guy and run supporter. Will come up and hit you. Made a few nice plays. Game stats: 5 tackles, .5 tackles for loss.

Garland Heath 19 6' 2.0" 225 4.65 S 2007
Another good run supporter. Good open field tackler. Another one that will hit you. Game stats: 4 tackles.

Miguel Scott 25 5' 11.5" 203 0.00 S 2008
Didn't see enough of him. Game stats: 3 tackles.

Would anybody object to me moving Tank Tyler up the top 100 now?
