The Bears never really seemed in sync during the game, and despite racking up many yards, just couldn't find the endzone. As I was watching this game, it felt like Cal would win, however I wasn't counting on a miracle play to send the game into overtime. Washington put together a game-tieing drive, that consisted of 2 4th down conversions, and a miracle 40 yard touchdown catch by Marlon Wood. The ball was thrown up by Carl Bonnell with 3 Cal defenders going for the ball, it was tipped right into the waiting hands of Washington WR Marlon Wood. He rolled in the end zone, and the crowd was silent. The game went to overtime where Marshawn Lynch, even with 2 sprained ankles, proved to be too much for the Husky defense. Despite the win Cal moved down 1 spot in the polls. Washington narrowly misses out on beating a top 10 team for the 2nd time this year(the other versus USC).

Cal PP's:

Desmond Bishop, LB, Cal- Desmond was absolutely a man among boys in this game. He had 12 tackles including 4, yes 4, tackles for loss. He also had the game winning interception in overtime. His one mistake however was tipping the ball instead of just knocking it down on that miracle catch at the end of the game: A+

Andrew Cameron, OT, Cal- Every time I see him, I like him less and less. Had multiple penalties called against him and frequently missed his assignments. He's got a lot of potential but just doesn't seem to able to put it all together out there: D

Daymeion Hughes, CB, Cal- Another day, another pick for Hughes, now 7 on the year. He again shut down his side of the field and now is making a statement for the best CB in the nation, he's got my vote: A

Marshawn Lynch, RB, Cal- Marshawn was only supposed to play sparingly in this game because of two sprained ankles. However, Cal needed as much Marshawn as it could get in order to beat Washington. He had a 17 yard touchdown run at the end of the 4th that should've put the game away, but for good measure he had a 22 yarder in overtime that did win it for Cal. After Bishop's INT sealed the game, he took Cal's cart and rode around the field: A+

Brandon Mebane, DT, Cal- Had a quietly good game. Stuffed the run and got pressure but wasn't his usual flashy self. This year unlike past, he has other dlinemen that can make plays: B

Tim Mixon, CB, Cal- DNP out for year

Washington PP's:

Sonny Shackelford, WR, Washington- Had a rather quiet day of 2 receptions for 63 yards. His 46 yard reception helped set up a Washington touchdown however: B-

Isaiah Stanback, QB, Washington- DNP

CJ Wallace, S, Washington- Wow this guy is everywhere. Stopping the run on 4th and inches, deflected passes. He is very physical and extremely quick. The obvious leader of this suprisingly good defense: A

Sam,

Nice writeup! I am of the opinion that CJ will rise and rise. Jeff West: take note?

Also, could you C&P the gametracker in here so that we have the player's info (ht, wt, speed, pos, jersey # etc.)? It also saves you time.

It must have been hard rooting for Cal and hoping Dan would have a good game as well wink.gif .

Scott White ILB and Sean Douglas P are both respectable pps. I'll make their shells and then fill them in soon.

The Huskies usually have good OL prospects. Which Jr or Sr looks like the best prospect? I'm thinkin either 74 LG Stanley Daniels or 75 RT Chad Macklin.

Why did Cal have to lean on Lynch so much? Isn't Forsett also a dynamic RB? I understand how good Lynch is, but I thought that Forsett was more than capable to carry this offense too....
Broncosfan713
Forsett rushed for 999 yards last year and is still thought of as a more than viable option to run the ball for this Cal team. But his numbers are significantly worse this year compared to last. He doesn't have the same ypc and hasn't broken many big ones like last year. He was getting almost all the carries in the beginning of this game, but Cal wasn't moving the ball, so Lynch came in and gave a boost.
