Wisconsin is a good team! They dont have a lot of high name players, but manange the game well and pound it out with their sensational RB PJ Hill. Purdue on the other hand is really struggling and might be a year or 2 away from a bowl. Thomas was as good as advertised and really this wasnt much of a close game.

Mike Otto
65 6' 5.0" 304 5.00 OT 2007
Love his long reach. Showed excellent pad level, stayed low. Nice wide base. Needs to improve run blocking. Not a big finisher.
GRADE-POSITIVE

Dorien Bryant 9 5' 10.0" 175 4.40 WR 2007
Super explosive with sticky hands. Didnt have the big play ability he usually has, but had a nice game. Looked decent in the KR game. Fantastic in and out of cuts.
GRADE-SLIGHTLY POSITIVE

Kyle Ingraham 89 6' 9.0" 228 4.70 WR 2007
Out for season-Academics.

Anthony Spencer 49 6-3 261 4.75 DE 2007
Uh, whats the hype about? Ill give him a pass because he was going against Thomas, but still didnt show the dominance he has shown this year. I think he moves to LB, he just didnt have the bulk to play on the line at the next level. Could be an interesting tweener prospect.
GRADE-For the press he has been receiving, NEGATIVE, but as a player, NEUTRAL.

WISCONSIN

Joe Thomas 72 6' 7.0" 306 5.15 OT 2007
Really is the best in class. Not quite in the Ogden, Pace mold, but is in that 2nd tier. Showed terrific feet, engulfed his defenders, and most importantly finished the play. He made Anthony Spencer look like a UDFA. I would really like to see him improve his run blocking, he dosent go downhill like you would like to see.
GRADE-POSITIVE

Ken DeBauche 16 6' 1.0" 222 5.00 P 2008
Big time boomer. Gave UW good field position on each of his punts.
GRADE-POSITIVE

John Stocco 7 6' 2.0" 204 0.00 QB 2007
Eh, just not sold on this guy yet. Has a good record as a starter. He is smart and wont make alot of mistakes. His 60% accuracy, wasnt evident in this game. Didnt show any mobility or strong arm.
GRADE-NEUTRAL

I agree totally that Joe Thomas is that 2nd-tier perennial all-pro (but not top all-pro) status all-time. Best in class...yes. I also noticed he doesn't always make an extra hit when he could, or play to the whistle against a weaker opponent on every snap, but there is very little to quibble over. He is an amazing student and high-caliber individual to boot.

Stocco runs too hot and cold for my liking too, Adam. He's also smallish.

What do you think of Mark Zalewski? He looked very against Illinois (who almost beat them) and looks like a classic over-achiever to me.

Does Ingraham lose a year of eligibility?

Agreed on Stocco and Thomas.

I was impressed with Zalewski. Id like to get one more game on him before I made a judgement. We can always add him and update.

Ingraham is academically ineligible, so I would assume he looses this year of eligibility.

Had some extra time today so I added Zalewski. Hope you don't mind. His career line is very impressive...
