...they continue to suffer injuries and have no depth. All you have to do to beat Georgetown is keep Alex Buzbee out of the backfield and thus he is constantly double and triple teamed. Leopard WR Joe Ort set a single-game receiving record for Lafayette, and Jonathan Hurt is a John Riggins throwback runner.
SCOUTING SUMMARY:
College: Georgetown Conference: Patriot League Columnist: Steve Martin
Name # Ht Wt Speed Pos Class Game Notes
Alex Buzbee 47 6' 3.8" 255 4.70 DE 2007: Alex is very quick off the ball and plays a bit like Chris Gocong did for Cal-Poly over the years. He was constantly double or triple teamed and couldn't get much done with that kind of attention on him. Best DE in the Patriot League whose stats are down this year, because everybody knows he is the only guy they seriously need to worry about on the Hoya defense. Still needs to develop more moves. Looked worn down and depressed in this one. Can't wait to see how he plays when he is not the sole center of the opposing O-line's attention. Thanks to CDS, Buzbee will get a chance to do that at the East Coast Bowl on 11/25. GRADE: Neutral
College: Lafayette Conference: Patriot League Columnist: Steve Martin

Jonathan Hurt 34 5' 11.5" 220 4.60 HB 2007: A HB-FB hybrid who is the running game for the Leopards. Runs with authority. Very loose hips. Jukes with his hips, not with his feet, and does it very well. Hits the opposition hard. Runs hard. Looks like he lacks the speed for the next level, but he is a tank at this level. GRADE: Slightly positive
Marvin Snipes 52 6' 1.7" 235 0.00 DE 2007: Solid small-college DE who looks like he might be tried at ILB. Powerful athlete. Fairly fluid for a DE, but I wonder about his laterl agility for the transition. GRADE: Neutral
Joe Ort 85 6' 4.5" 210 4.65 WR 2007: Amazing small-college wideout who is too slow for WR at the next level and too small for TE. Only chance is to bulk up and try to become a TE. Routes are very suspect. Hands are solid and jukes well for a big man. GRADE: Positive
