I just watched the game on TV and here's who I thought was the most impressive:

1. Yamon Figurs
2. Ramzee Robinson, CB/Bama
3. Justise Hairston, RB/Central Conn St
4. Chad Nkang, SS/Elon U
5. Jay Richardson, DE/Ohio St

JP, I did a very cursory look through the tape last night, and I am halfway through it for the second time right now looking at the skill position guys and both the offensive and defensive backfields. My third time through I will be concentrating on the defensive and offensive lines. I'll be posting some stuff on my impressions by the end of the week.

Figurs really leaped out at me immediately as well, and has slid into the latter part of our Top 100 as of last night.

I agree that those players stood out. I think Jared Zabransky, Nate Ilao and Dwayne Wright all held there stock steady, if not slightly increased.

I should say right now that CB Joe Garcia stood out also--looked much better than the couple of times I scouted him in the regular season.

And the pride of Wingate, David Jones (Div. II) looked good also. Could he be this year's DII shocker, like the kid from Abilene Christian was last year?

Will Proctor helped himself also.

That's good news, I was really high on Yamon after the Texas game but no one seemed to share the same enthusiasm with me after I made some remarks about him..

Here is what I have:

Helped themselves A LOT:

CB Ramzee Robinson, Alabama
S David Jones, Wingate
DT C.J. AhYou, Oklahoma
WR-KR Yamon Figurs, Kansas State
WR-QB Paul Thompson, Oklahoma
CB Willie Gaston, Houston
RB Nate Ilaoa, Hawaii
CB Joseph Garcia, Nevada

Helped themselves:

WR Syndric Steptoe, Arizona
DB Anthony Arline, Bayor
RB Curtis Brown, BYU
S David Lofton, Stanford
OLB Chad Nkang, Elon
LB Thaddeus Washongton, Colorado
WR Chris McFoy, USC
DE Melila Purcell, Hawaii
WR Bret Smith, Tennessee
CB Sergio Gilliam, Clemson
S Jake Patten III, Virginia Tech
LB Tim Shaw, Penn State

I still have not completed my close study of all the limemen though...

Looking forward to your impressions, Steve. Particularly of the following players:

Steve Rissler (OL-Florida), Joe Cohen (DT-Florida), Arkee Whitlock (RB-So. Ill.), Jeffrey Dukes (FS-Alabama), Nick Jones (C-Georgia), Regan Mauia (FB-Hawaii), Reggie Lewis (CB-Florida), Leonard Peters (FS-Hawaii), Matt Toeaina (DL-Oregon), James Marten (OT-Boston College), Blair Phillips (LB-Oregon)

Thanks!

(I had hoped to watch/tape the game myself, but I just got back from vacation and the Eagles/Saints game was on at the same time, so it slipped my mind.)

Well, I am pretty much done with my evaluations of all but the DTs and O-linemen, so if these other guys from other positions didn't stand out to me before, I doubt if any of these others will now...but I'll let you know what I see...
