Juco transfer QB Tyler Lorenzen of UConn really impresses me. He's a lefty with very good accuracy, very good size, and he is ripped. He is a good straight-ahead runner too. He's only a RS Sophomore, and will surely not declare this year, but he is a guy who will be considered among the top prospects for the '09 draft for sure!

No.

From Scout.com:

The Huskies were quite the one-dimensional team in 2006 as last years’ QBs could not generate much throwing the ball. They are hoping for a change this fall due to the arrival of junior college transfer Tyler Lorenzen. Does the last name sound familiar? It should as former Kentucky star QB and current NY Giants back-up Jared is his older brother.

Yes.

Scout.com is wrong. They're definitely not brothers. Tyler is an Iowa boy, as is his family. Jared is from Kentucky.

Here's an excerpt from Tyler's profile on the UConn football site:

Personal Profile: Tyler John Lorenzen…Born on December 24, 1985…Has several relatives who have played a variety of sports at Iowa State including football, volleyball and women’s basketball…A management major.

I can't imagine they'd talk about relatives playing volleyball at Iowa State and neglect to mention an NFL quarterback as a brother...

You'd think that with all that NFL money (and preferential treatment and access) that the NFL gives them that Scout.com would do better than they do. Give us half of that, and we'd BLOW THEM TOTALLY AWAY.
