Central Michigan is missing it’s coach Brian Kelly(who left for Cincy). The Boilermakers got up early and never looked back. CMU currently only has 1 pro prospect, Dan LeFevour, is only a sophomore. I love the receivers from Purdue Lymon and Bryant.

College: Central Michigan Conference: Mid-American Columnist: Adam Davis
Name # Ht Wt Speed Pos Class Game Notes
College: Purdue Conference: Big 10 Columnist: Adam Davis
Name # Ht Wt Speed Pos Class Game Notes
Dorien Bryant 9 5' 10.0" 175 4.40 WR 2009 Big play receiver. Had 6 recepts for almost 100 yards. Added another 88 yard kick return including a big time 58 yarder that broke the game open. Shows big initial burst. Fantastic in space and after the catch. Even used in some rushing situations. All around big playmaker and the heart of this team. VERY POSITIVE.
Kyle Ingraham 89 6' 9.0" 228 4.70 WR 2008 Was academically ineligible last year, not on roster this year.
Jordan Grimes 66 6' 3.0" 325 5.20 OG 2008 One of the best pass blockers in the biz. Pulled great. Played with excellent pad level. Can get to the next level in a hurry. Nasty. POSITIVE.
Dustin Keller 28 6' 3.2" 240 4.70 TE 2008 Much in the mold of Charles Davis a few years ago. A physical freak. Pulled in a TD. Not a fantastic runner or blocker, but is good at both. Could really emerge as a primary target for Painter. POSITIVE.

Others

Curtis Painter-Looked great in the pocket. Has become great at the short pass. Excellent touch on ball. Has really improved decision making. Can’t buy time on his legs, but does have a quick enough release to get rid of the ball when need be. I don’t know if he is an NFL QB or not though, there just isn’t enough about him I like. Stats are going to be good, but I don’t know that he has head or the intangibles to get in to the NFL. POSITIVE.

Selwyn Lymon-Really like this kid. Didn’t show any signs of being stabbed earlier in the year. Is big, physical, and ends up being a redzone nightmare. Gets off the jam really well. Faster than you might think. Routes are a tad shabby. Body catches a little too much. Overall looked good.

I thnk Lymon has a lot of Ty Calico in him, he's 6'3.6" 215 going on 230, but there are work ethic and character questions. Do you have a 40 on him?
Bryant reminds me of Freddie Solomon, and Keller would be a solid #2 TE at the next level. Who does Grimes remind you of?

Calico is a nice comparison. We will see how Lymon does in his senior year(next year) and in the NFL. Yes, he got stabbed earlier this year and has been pretty immature to this point. Keller I'm not huge on, but he might be nice at the next level. I'm not really sure who Grimes reminds me of, Todd Herremans kind of comes to mind. An athletic, pass blocking, guard. He's good.

I can see some Herremans in Grimes, do you think he has enough lower body strength to excel in the NFL?

I think he has the ability to be good in the NFL. I don't see great, but again its tough to tell how good guards in an all pass attack are going to transition to a balanced attack.
