You should quit buying into the "Next Reggie Bush" hype, I think McKnight will be good...but there won't be another Reggie Bush. Ever. Not even at USC.

Have you seen McKnight play??? He has almost the same frame the same breakaway speed the same big game ability. This is the next Reggie Bush clone if i ever saw 1.

Luck, No.

Courage, Heart, Will to win, Yes. And thats how you win football games.

I guess they lost all that 5 out of the last 6 games.... I agree Kentucky is a pretty good team but Woodson won that game all by himself. Running game wa nowhere to be seen. They wont have Woodson next year.
FatMike58
they ran for 125 yards...woodson only had 250 yards

They won't have Woodson...but they will have the QB who beat him out for the starting job in the spring of 06

I like their 7-5 record too. 31 losses in the previous 5 years isn't impressing me.

Thats called probation.

Dont make me bring out the stats book....

Rushing does not really matter how many yards you gain that is pretty old and overrated... It is all about the YPC. You could rush for 300 yards and have 3.0 YPC you still would have a horrible game. Come on you know that Kentucky had a horrible rushing game vs LSU. Why even try and defend yourself by saying they had 125 yards? Wow 125 total yards in a college game thats special. Especially when the team averages 3.0 YPC and Woodson getting more then 5 YPC while your main running back get a horrible 3.2 and 2.6 average.

In total Woodson got 266 yards 4 total Td and 2 int not bad vs LSU. Safe to say that Woodson did it all that game offensive wise. The pass defense for Kentucky that game was great but they totally sucked against the rush. Just put in Woodsons back up in that game and i guarentee you they would have no chance of winning.

No ****.
FatMike58
The real reason UK won that game was because Les Miles is an idiot. All he had to do to beat us was to keep feeding Charles Scott (stud) and Trindon Holliday (fastest player in the NCAA) instead of giving the ball to the HORRIBLE Jacob Hester.

Then dont say stupid stuff like "They won't have Woodson...but they will have the QB who beat him out for the starting job in the spring of 06" and "And we'll win at most 10 and at least 7". You barley got out of LSU alive with Woodson and won only 7 games with Woodson.
FatMike58
Better team next year.....is it hard to understand that?

well when your star player that is the only 1 to have a sub par game vs LSU to come away with the W barely leaves they wont have a better season... Woodson was just the glue that held this team.
FatMike58
I can't even understand what you just wrote...You should take the extra 30 seconds to proof read everything that you type, it makes it a lot easier for people to read and understand.

Let me break it down to elementary level. When...A...Te...am...loses...Its...Star...(thing in the sky)... QB and you expect them to win 7 or more games in the SEC then your nuts. And we are talking about Kentucky, 7 or more games in the SEC? We are not talking about LSU,Florida whos recruiting classes are great, we are talking about a team that was not even being talked about before Woodson. You expect them to win 7 or more games? Or did you just say that to get attention? Well you got mine...

FatMike58
They lose their best WR and their QB, return the QB that beat the "star" QB in spring practice and virtually everything else, so yes...they will have a better team next year. Also adding #2 DT recruit last year (espn) who prepped this year to get his grades in order.

You really think Woodson back up will do better then Woodson? look at Kentuckys schedule and put in "Woodsons back up that beat him in the spring of 06". they lose to Vanderbilt and LSU with Woodsons back up in there. The Arkansas game is a toss up. You are a looking at best a 5-7 season. This past year Kentucky did not recruit anytbody that will make a huge impact. I am just saying Kentucky will do bad next year compared to this one. Especially without Woodson. If Woodson backup can produce like Woodson has this season then you are right they can be better then 7-5. But there were games where Woodson completely took over something his backup wont be able to do.

You don't know that...

He doesn't need to produce like Woodson, all he has to do is not turn the ball over a ton and let our running game do most of the work. (Which with a returning offensive line, and our very good RB core, they will be able to do.)

http://kentucky.rivals.com/commitlist.asp?school=35 link to kentucky 08 recruting class. They have not gotten a commintment from anybody major. Not to say that they wont, but as of now they dont. and their window is closing to sign big names.
thasavage1
You can't win this one jerry an sec fan will admit to the kennedy assasination before admitting their team stinks and kentucky's recuiting class is horrible not even a 4 star prospect stanfrod recruits better than that.
FatMike58
The "stars" system is vastly overrated. Anybody that follows recruiting as closely as I do...knows that.
FatMike58
And what I meant was, you don't know who will make an impact just by looking at their "stars".

Colt McCoy-3*
Rudy Carpenter-3*
Santonio Holmes-3*
Sinorice Moss-3*
Syndric Steptoe-3*
Mario Urrutia-3*
Ryan Kalil-3*
Dallas Clark-Walk On
Adam Archuleta-Walk On
Colt Brennan-2*
Justion Forsett-2*
Jordy Nelson-2*
James Hardy-2*
Jonathon Luigs-2*
George Selvie-2*
Jordan Dizon-No Stars
Aquib Talib-2*
FatMike58
I have MANY more.
jerry14
Of course you can not tell who is going to be a great player. A person could have 1 star and be a great player. Just saying right now you dont know alot of information on the player so you go by what they give you. Which is the star system.
FatMike58
I DO know a lot about every one of UK's recruits...and most ofUSCs...and a bunch of other schools.
PackersPwnage
Get that Kentucky trash out. I don't wanna hear that Kentucky is good and r somehow gonna do better next year w/o Woodson from the same guy who says that USC and the Pac-10 is overrated. Kentucky is an average team, while USC is a powerhouse. Get used to it. U should've already.
FatMike58

Pac10 is by far the most overrated conference in the country.

you're crazy man Kentucky is a bsketall school and thy have sucked at that lately you weren't on here saying anything about Kentucky being better than SC last year but give somebody a 7-5 season and they think they are elite.
FatMike58
They suck at basketball because of Tubby Smith.

Never said we were elite.

Your the crazy one.

McKnight is not very powerful and played several positions as a prep so he has a lot to learn about reading blocks and destroying tackling angles, but he can accelerate like only 10-20 other players in all of college football. At this point he plays the game more like Harvin than Bush, but he is very talented.
Kentucky is a program on the rise but they should be thrilled if they are Bowling again next year in Bluegrass country. LSU might not loose much, UF is likely to be better, same for UGA and Mississippi State might be a 8 win team next year. wink.gif

I spell better than you. Lol, a Kentucky fan critizing a USC fan for spelling. Pac-10 will own the SEC in a spelling bee as well.
