A very high scoring affair in which neither defense really showed up at all. Washington led 41-26 in the 4th quarter, but blew the lead and eventually the game. Arizona drove the ball down and scored the go ahead touchdown with under 2 minutes to go in the game. With one last chance, Locker threw a pass that was intercepted by Antoine Cason, effectively ending the game. The Huskies lost their 6th consecutive game after starting the season 3-0. Arizona ended their 3 game losing streak and may have saved Mike Stoops' job for another year. Willie Tuitama passed for a school record 510 yards, and Jake Locker accounted for 493 yards of total offense(157 rushing, 336 passing).

Arizona PP's:

Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona- His game winning interception sealed the game for Arizona. He also had 1 pass defensed, 1 forced fumble, and 6 tackles. However was not his best day on coverage. Washington took advantage of him playing off and threw plent of screens and short routes. Still a top corner for me though: C+

Wilrey Fontenot III, CB, Arizona- Had 3 tackles and 2 passes defensed. Was horrible wrapping up and in run support. A very quiet and unproductive day for him: D

Louis Homes, DE, Arizona- I don't know what it is for him, but it never seems like he tries hard or even at all. Several plays you can see him just kinda dancing at the line of scrimmage, and almost always gives up on the play unless it is ran his way. Had 3 total tackles. Even more unimpressed with him than I already was: F

Chris Jennings, RB, Arizona- Had only 4 carries for 10 yards with a touchdown. Arizona ditched the run game early, but in the limited time in Jennings looked ok. He did do a good job of blocking though on pass plays: C+

Washington PP's:

Greyson Gunheim, DE, Washington- Finished with just one total tackle. Did make a nice play swatting the ball down in the 3rd quarter but otherwise was frighteningly quiet. He was completely shut down by Arizona's oline. There were also plays where I could tell he just took off, I always thought he was a nonstop motor guy, but certainly not in this game: C-

Louis Rankin, RB, Washington- Rushed 16 times for 71 yards, and also had 4 receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown. A good dayof solid running for Rankin, but clearly this was Locker's day: B

Caesar Rayford, DE, Washington- His one tackle was a sack of Tuitama. Was more or less neutralized the rest of the game. A HUGE guy but really lacks consistency and has very few effective pass rushing moves: C-

Jordan Reffett, DT, Washington- Another huge Husky dlineman, he plugs holes well. But Arizona didn't run at all in the 2nd half. He looked tired running side to side on Wildcat screens and other short routes. Not at all a pass rushing threat: C

Clearly not a defensive day at all. Washington heads to Stanford to take on the Cardinal, and Arizona returns home to take on UCLA.
