The ASU Indians retired the Indian logo and will be renamed soon. The last game with the Indian Stadium name sent out the ASU Seniors with a 31-27 last second win on a Corey Leonard pass to Brandon Thompkins.

Tyrell Johnson 16 6'1.0" 200 4.47 SS 2008
An up and down night for Tyrell. He had 12 tackles by my count. He was in Cover 2 and didn't get over the top and gave up a 20 yard pass or so. One of the three men wall on punt teams to protect the punter and got beat as he released too soon and the defender blocked a punt. Tyrell had an interception, which gives him five for the year. He showed the ability to track the ball and went up and got it. Made some big hits. Grade: Neutral

Khayyam Burns 21 6' 1.0" 196 4.54 FS 2008
Khayyam had an excellent night. He had 13 tackles by my count. Forced a fumble as well. The only negative was he got caught flat footed in Quarters coverage and gave up a 15 yard pass or so. Had a big pass defense as he also plays the nickel corner in their defense. Overall, solid play all night against an offense that is going to give coverage fits to just about any team. Grade : Positive

Jamario Thomas 20 5'11.0" 210 4.4E RB 2008
Finished the night with 11 carries for 64 yards and 2 TDs. Flashed some of the skills that he showed four years ago when he led the nation in rushing. He's coming back from an ankle injury, but looks as if he is starting to regain his form. Has good vision and makes quick, forceful cuts.
Grade: Neutral

Jeremiah Chapman 90 6'4.0" 243 4.85E DE 2008
Chapman had four tackles by my count and had some big plays. He deflected a pass from the line. He also had a tackle for a 10 yard loss as he showed the awareness to sniff out a reverse. He projects to a 3-4 LB at the next level. Chapman shows a good ability to slide down the line of scrimmage and make plays or funnell a ball carrier towards the middle. The more I've seen of this kid, the more I like. Grade: Positive

Game Notes: ASU WR Brandon Thompkins SO has been a return star for the Indians. It now looks as if he is learning the WR position and had 7 grabs for 107 yards and the game winning TD. SO RB ASU Reggie Arnold had 11 runs for 75 yards and a TD. I'm always curious as to why he doesn't get the ball 25 times a game. He's a short strong runner who's tough to bring down. SR SS NT Aaron Weather has been MIA for almost the entire year. He finally appeared and had 7 tackles 2 pass defenses, one of which saved a TD. He also had a strong hit to jar the ball out of a WR grasp.

Is the 4.47 on Tyrell Johnson pretty solid, if so he'll be a mid-rounder, Burns looks like a nickel back/reserve FS out of the box who could grow into being a starter in 2-3 years.
Could Chapman be a 3-4 OLB?
Does Jamario look 4.4 to you? Even before the injury I thought he was a low to mid 4.5 guy and now to me he looks more like 4.6.

Tyrell Johnson I think will run low 4.5s or high 4.4s at the combine/pro day. All I've been hearing and feeling is Rd 4 and possible round 3.
Jeremiah Chapman sheds blockers well and can push a RB inside or outside depending on what needs to be done. I don't know if he can play standing up and be able to cover a TE or RB. My initial impression is that he'd struggle.
Jamarrio Thomas has that quick twitch ability. He ran a 10.4 100 meters in high school so, I think a 4.4 is reasonable if injuries haven't sapped his speed.
