This game was over before it started as the Beavers had a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Beavers forced 8 turnovers in the game, and it was an uphill battle the whole time for the Cougars. The Beavers littered the field with reserves in the 2nd half after taking a 31-3 halftime lead. Yvenson Bernard had 74 yards and 2 touchdowns, before being taken out in the 2nd half as a precautionary measure for his knee. The Beavers became bowl eligible with the win, the 6th Pac-10 team to do so. I predicted this team to be good in the beginning of the year, and after a rough start, they proved me right.

Oregon State PP's:

Yvenson Bernard, RB, Oregon St.- Was having a pretty good day with 74 yards and 2 touchdowns before agitating his knee. The training staff decided to take him out the rest of the game as a precautionary measure: B+

Kyle DeVan, C, Oregon St.- Was very good all night long. A little more impressive on pass blocking than run blocking. A quick first step but needs to work on finishing his blocks: B

Roy Schuening, OG, Oregon St.- A very big guard who just destroyed Washington St. defenders on running plays. Rather quick feet for such a big man, and also pulled pretty well. Brought his a game in this game: A

Alexis Serna, K, Oregon St.- The NCAA's active leader in field goals made had 1 more, from 22 yards, and also narrowily missed a 50 yarder wide left. He also punted 8 times with an average of 35.3 yards. His kickoffs consistently landed inside the 5 yard line. One of the top kicking prospects, if not the top in the draft: B

Sammie Stroughter, WR, Oregon St.- did not play

Washington St. PP's:

Alex Brink, QB, Washington St.- Possibly the worst game by a pro prospect Qb I have ever seen. I never really liked Brink before this game, but now he doesn't even deserve to be consisdered for the draft. 2 sakcs, 6 interception and 1 fumble. He was off target all day, passes sailing on him. Consistently throwing into double even triple coverage. It boggles my mind how he was ever even decent the last couple of years after this game. This is the first F grade I have ever given, and well deserved too: F

Washington St is now guranteed yet another losing season, they go to Seattle next week to face off against Washington in the 100th Apple Cup. The Beavers travel to Eugene to face their rival Oregon in the Civil War.
