The Battle for the Land Grant Trophy was all about a late surge from Michigan State's passing game. Brian Hoyer had 4 touchdowns including a few late scores to rally the unranked Spartans over #22 Penn State. The Spartans improve to 7-5 while Penn State goes to 8-4.

Game Notes
Kellen Davis 81 6' 6.0" 254 4.60 TE 2008
Had a big day. Had over 100 yards receiving and looked really good on the ground blocking as well. Played some defense as well and played rush linebacker. He has a definite future at tight end in the NFL. VERY POSITIVE

Mike Gyetvai 66 6' 7.0" 307 5.30 OT 2008
Was playing out of position, played at LG today. Most likely because it was senior day and it was his last chance to play. I love his reach, he's a mauler. He's been buried on the depth chart at tackle, but is so big and monstrous that he could get a look at the next level. NEUTRAL

Ervin Baldwin 51 6' 2.0" 4.90 DE 2008
Kept the rush coming and got into the backfield. He lined up at Mike Linebacker to get a pass rush up the middle. He is not getting a lot of press, and size will keep him out of the first day, but will make a nice situational rush end in the 4-3 defense. POSITIVE

Jehuu Caulcrick 30 6' 0.0" 255 4.45 HB 2008
Didn't have the high scoring game he usually has, but still had one score. He provides the spark on offense and rallied the team late to get the job done. SLIGHTLY POSITIVE

Jonal Saint-Dic 94 6' 1.0" 255 4.95 DE 2009
The Lion line kept "The Sackmaster" away from Morelli. He was double teamed alot and wasn't able to make the plays he usually does. Still has a future in the NFL. NEUTRAL/NEGATIVE

PENN STATE

Dan Connor 40 6' 3.0" 220 4.70 LB 2008
Just continued to run people down. Led the team today in tackles. Really didn't allow the high-potent rushing attack to take off. Left his mark on this program and did everything he could to get this win. POSITIVE

Anthony Morelli 14 6' 3.3" 221 4.90 QB 2008
This guy isn't a college QB more less an NFL QB. His arm is his only real strength, but he dosen't do anything in terms of accuracy. Very disapointing game and season for him. SLIGHTLY NEGATIVE.

Justin King 1 6' 0.0" 186 4.41 CB 2009
Overrated. The Spartans got back in this game based on their passing. I don't see him as a first rounder at this point. He has struggled against bigger receivers and now is struggling against quicker receivers. Needs to stay in school for 1 more year. NEGATIVE

Austin Scott 33 6' 0.0" 222 4.70 HB 2008 KICKED OFF TEAM(RAPE ALLEGATION)

Pat Devlin 0' 0.0" 0 0.00 QB 2010 DNP

Chris Bell 0' 0.0" 0 0.00 WR 2010 DNP

Is Rodney Kinlaw good enough to play Sundays?

He looked good on Saturday, and really looked decent all season long. He has never carried a full load, so it's tough to tell. He doesn't have a lot of tread on the tires, so he could be a late round pickup. He's short, but has a lot of lower body weight and weighs almost 210. Like other PSU backs before him, he can do a little of everything. I added him as a PP last night, I think he will get a shot.
