The Troy Trojans rolled to a 45 -7 win to put the Blue Raiders bowl hopes to sleep. They simply have too much speed on D and are too difficult to defend. The Spread is run with precision and they simply wore down MT. MT also helped Troy with undsciplined play and turnovers.

Omar Haugabook 17 6'2.0" 220 4.65E QB 2008
Had a typical Haugabook night. 16/29 for 194 yards with one TD and an interception. An excellent college QB, but probably doesn't have the arm strength or mechanics for the NFL. Is a good athlete who may get a look as a receiver or other position. Strong leader and should be the Sunbelt OPOY.
Grade: Slightly Positive

Gary Banks 8 6'1.0" 196 4.5E WR 2008
A former minor league baseball player. Had 4 catches for 45 yards and one TD. Showed good athleticism as he made an excellent adjustment on the ball and kept his feet in bounds on a sideline route. He's overaged due to time in the minors. Projects to me as UDFA who may/may not get an invite to a camp. Grade: Neutral

Sherrod Martin 6 6'1.0" 187 S 2008
Had a pass break up and a big hit. He's been real hot and cold this year and at times has been MIA and at other times stellar. Grade Neutral

Leodis McKelvin 34 5'10.0" 180 4.37 CB 2008
This guy is probably the best corner in the nation that few know about. Has speed, decent size, and the ability to make the pick. I'm hearing that he could go in rounds 2/3. He should light it up at the combine. Teams are now not even trying his side of the field. Had 4 tackles and came off a block to make a big tackle on 3rd down. Grade: Positive

Elbert Mack 13 5'10.0" 168 4.45E CB 2008
The beneficiary of all the attention, Elbert has put it to use. He leads the nation with 8 interceptions and is making a name for himself in scouting circles. Pursues plays and is not afraid to mix it up. On his interception he was in man coverage, tracked the ball well, and made an adjustment to record the pick. Can flip his hips and run. On the year he has 42 tackles and 8 interceptions. Possible 2nd day pick. Grade: Very Positive

Damon Nickson 5 5' 11.5" 177 4.48 S 2008:
Another guy who hasn't had the type of SR year he wanted. Had a good game tonight. Had 7 tackles a pass break up and a sack. On the sack he showed good control as he came in and didn't fall for the QBs move. Got called for a late hit out of bounds. His stock was high at the beginning of the year and now looks as if he'll be a late round or UDFA. Grade: Slightly Positive

Brandon Nix 79 6' 4.0" 296 0.00 RG 2008:
Didn't pick up the blitzer and gave up a QB sack. Gets knocked back on bull rushes. Had some good drive blocks. Grade: Negative

Tavares Jones 19 6' 2.0" 242 0.00 DE 2008:
2 TFL 1 Sack and 6 tackles on the evening. Gets pressure on the QB. Seems to only use his speed move and bull rush. Always around the QB and if he doesn't get the sack is right there giving heat. Chases down plays and has a good motor. Looks to have the body and speed to have the ability to transition to OLB. Will need to learn how to drop into coverage and play standing up. Grade: Positive

Eric Walden 43 6' 2.0" 238 0.00 DE 2008:
3 tackles 1 PBU .5 of a sack and .5 TFL. Has a quick first step and also persues down plays. Has the same issues as Jones , but wasn't as impressive. Gets engulfed at times by bigger linemen. Grade: Slightly Positve.

Game Notes- Kenny Cattouse, the scat back for Troy had 10 carries for 49 yards and a TD. The MT D was on the field for 95 snaps and just got worn down by the Trojans. MT RB Demarco McNair had 10 carries for 43 yards.
