A few observations from the game:

EAST ROSTER:

Jamie Silva S/BC: I absolutely love what this kid does on the field as long as he doesn't have to turn his back to the play. Silva is just seems to always be around the ball when the play is in front of him. He does an excellent job roaming sideline to sideline. He reads running plays very well and takes very good angles. However, his play during passing situations realy concerns me. His height and inability to turn in order to stay w/ a receiver is alarming. I will say this...any team needing a 3rd string safety designated to play ST's will get a kid that will Captain any Kickoff or Punt team in the NFL. A career back-up but ST's wonder.

Kendall Langford DE/Hampton: I was surprised to see just how low this kid plays for being a 6'6" DE. His has a very quick first step and really gets into the opposing lineman. This kid could be very good one w/ some NFL coaching and the addition of moves to his repertoire. A poor man's Jason Taylor but worth a gamble in the mid rounds.

Fernando Velasco C/Ga: I really like this kid in the running game. He's a wide body w/ average strength for his size. He does an excellent job of getting to the next level and for a Center, he engages pretty quickly after the snap. I have reservations about his abilities to pass protect. He's got terrible footwork and some technique flaws but any team needing a big Center for the future could roll the dice in Round 6 or 7 and hide this kid on the practice squad for a year. A project but a good one.

Brett Kern P/Toledo: This kid executed very well and has a great leg. Hadn't heard of him prior to this game but did he really impress. He's a Punter so there's a great chance he'll go undrafted but this kid will be in someone's camp come May 1.

WEST ROSTER:

Anthony Alridge RB/Houston: Its nice seeing a kid have fun playing a game. Alridge showcased his speed and talent and boosted his stock w/ this performance. Definitely a 2nd day prospect for some team needing a 3rd down/change of pace back. Will never be able to carry the load b/c of his frame but could be a 4-5 year depth player.

Josh Johnson QB/San Diego: There is a lot of hype surounding Johnson right now and all he did was solidify he is a legitimate prospect. Johnson's statistics in this game weren't the most impressive but I saw atleast four drop passes that can be attributed soley on the receivers. Johnson lucked extremely poised in the pocket and made some great decisions behind center in this game. I came away seeing a kid that can basically do it all...he throws from the pocket, throws on the run in both directions, has great touch and pretty good velocity and can tuck the ball and run. Johnson was clearly the best QB in this game and may have risen up a few draft boards with this performance. If this kid was 3 inches taller he'd be a 1st Round pick no question.

.....Fernando Velasco C/G......

I really like Velasco, as well. And although he still needs a little grooming for the NFL, he's remains an 'extremely underrated' player.
