It's being reported that Joe Gibbs is going to retire. If so, goodbye to one of the all-time classiest Head Coaches in NFL history. I wish him well...even if he remains (except when they play the Giants:))

Cowher has reportedly turned Washington down, saying he's not ready to come back yet, according to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network. Apparently, Rex Ryan from the Ravens is now the odds on favorite.

What I find interesting about this whole development, is that Greg Williams, the DC was supposedly the HC in waiting, but apparently that's not so. Also on the DC staff, is Al Saunders, the OC. It's also interesting that Snyder could be raiding the team next door for a HC, although I understand Baltimore has moved Titans DC, Jim Schwartz high up on its list. Schwartz was also just given permission to speak to the Falcons concerning their HC position, but it almost seems like every OC/DC has interviewed for that job. Schwartz is good young mind though, and has trained under Fisher, whom, IMO, is one of the games finest HCs.

Apparently the Redskins interviewed Russ Grimm today for their HC job.

Strange hire in Jim Zorn. The person I feel for is Jason Campbell. The poor guy will never develop unless they get some consistency in the offense. I'm guessing they will switch to a West Coast Offense now that Zorn has taken over. Either way, I think this is his 3rd coordinator in 4 years.

And his 7th in 8 years if you go back to Auburn, but his football IQ is pretty high and I think Zorn will actually help him. wink.gif

Redskins are reportedly going to go hard after both Drayton Florence from the Chargers (rumors of a deal already being in place are now surfacing), and WR DJ Hackett.
