ellis IMO if thy take mcfadden which would be davis' style then it would open up things for russell buti think the smart ppick is ellis, but dorsey could be available if dolphins take matt ryan

Hey, thasavage1...don't even think the Fins will draft Ryan...unless they trade out of the No1 slot to something like...oh, 15-25. That's not Parcell's style. He will not (unless a young John Elway appears), pick a QB...ever...in the top 10-15.

I can tell you this as an old Giants fan...when Parcells took over as coach after Ray Perkins left in 1983, he replaced Simms (who was booed mightily by the NY faithful when they drafted him in 1979), with Scott Brunner...just goes to show you. NO...NO...NO...Parcells will not draft Ryan with the 1st pick (nor will anyone who works for Parcells...or they won't work for him very long.

Yeah, that's a very improbable pick. They used 1 2nd on a QB last year, and Parcells doesn't like taking QBs that early.

Read it & weep...even worse...not one All Pro from the last 5 years has been drafted by this club. A terrible history, and not likely to change this year either. (To be fair, IMO, Asomugha should be an All Pro)

Yes, I know, that's a pretty sad lot. However, you can take some solace out of all this mess, in knowing the Broncos are even worse than you in the draft since Shanahan has been running things...in fact, they have the worse draft record in all of football during Shanahan's reign.
jerry14
Our early drafting has been real bad, but we have picked off better players in the middle rounds then most teams.

To me, All those people are good players, and for the players in the 07 draft, those are the guys I think they have had a good chance to become good. And as you can see I don't have ANYBODY listed from 2004 when they had pick 2 !
Homie80
I think that the Raiders should trade down, get multiple picks in the deal, and then pick for need, they have fixed their corners, they might need 1 LB but are OK there, their D and O lines need help, they could use another WR, and possibly a RB, if they traded down they could possibly get quality guys at all those positions without reaching for a guy or picking a guy that they don't really "need", I find that trading back to build up your picks and then getting needs will help tour team out more then just picking the bpa, if they traded back to about the middle of the draft and got an extra 2nd and 4th or something like that it would benefit the team more, expecially since they used their 2nd on Hall, lets say they trade down to about 18 or 19, they pickup up a DT like Balmer, in the 2nd they get Rachal from USC, in the 3rd/4th they pickup a WR, then they are a better team then if they would have kept the 4th pick and picked a luxery pick like McFadden. But, Al Davis is like that, he will pick the bpa often, that is why the Raiders have been deteriating and declining.
Falcon32
word on wat i last heard was that they are getting a little off D McFadden and are liking Vernon Gholston for their 1st rd selection at #4 in this weekends draft.
jerry14
If Long is gone Gholston is the pick BOOK IT!

I definitely think Long(Oakland seams to love him) will be gone then so yes Gholston I believe is the pick tomorrow
Falcon32
Unless however they do trade down since they have no other picks after that till rd 4 and then no rd 5 pick either so that mite be an option for a team interested in pickin up ryan, mcfadden, or one of the d-linemen that would be left at #4
PatriotofMaine
DMac was definitely the right choice, and it fits their philosophy to a "T."
jerry14
I dont think it was the right choice... definately the Al Davis choice... I was wrong....DEAD WRONG!
RGH
i didn't mind mcfadden but now that M Bush is healthy and there talking highly of him now, i kinda regret the draft and shouldve got Gholston
