Round 1, Pick# 2: Vernon Gholston DE/OLB OSU-Gholston would give us a guy with great speed and strength off the edge who could start right away and can play in the 4-3 or 3-4
Round 2, Pick# 2: Devin Thomas WR Michigan State-The Rams need a playmaker and deep threat at WR and Devin gives them just that, Devin is 6-2 210 and runs a 4.3, the Rams are excellent at developing young WRs and Thomas could be great.
Round 3, Pick# 2: Heath Benedict OT Newberry-The Rams have Pace coming back who is supposedly rehabbing very well, Benedict is the one of the best athletes of all the OTs in this draft and has probably the best potential, he is 6-5 325 and runs a 5.0 or 4.9, he plays with a nasty mean streak and is a powerful mauler, give him a year or 2 to develop under Pace and he will be great!!!!
Round 4, Pick# 2: Shawn Crable SLB Michigan or Marcus Howard SLB Georgia-Both of these guys can drop back into coverage and have great speed and athleticism to rush the passer, I would love Crable here but I don't think he drops this far but Howard has great speed and strength off the edge but can drop into coverage like a smaller Karlos Dansby.
Round 5, Pick# 2: Jamie Silva SS Boston College-Jamie could come in and start right away, he is a very smart SS with excellent instincts that will knock you flat out, he lets O.J. drop back and play Center Field.
Round 6, Pick# 2: Mike Cox FB Georgia Tech-Cox gives the Rams a big FB who can be a great and powerful lead blocker, Cox can also come out of the Backfield and catch passes.
Round 6, Pick# 12: Sam Keller QB Nebraska-Keller has all the arm you can want but is injury prone and not very mobile but he could develop into a good QB
Round 7, Pick# 10: Lionel Singleton CB/RS FIU-He could be a great returnman who also gives us a solid nickel or dime CB
What do you guys think?

Round 2, Pick# 2 - Sam Baker OT USC He is a OT that could develop into a very good LT, he is a great pass blocker and a good run blocker
Round 3, Pick# 2 - Earl Bennett WR Vanderbilt Bennett is probably the best route runner in the draft, he also has excellent hands and good speed, he is alot like Holt and could be a great player.
Round 4, Pick# 2 - Tyrell Johnson SS Arkansas State He might not be here after the combine but Johnson is a great tackler and playmaker on defense
Round 5, Pick# 2 - Curtis Gatewood SLB Vanderbilt Gatewood would need a little time to get used to LB but could be a great pass rusher at the spot and has ability to drop into coverage if he is gone they take Jonal Saint-Dic or Gary Guyton
Round 6, Pick# 2 - Brandon Coutu K Georgia He has a huge leg and is very accurate and could come in and play right away because my Uncle has announced his retirement
Round 6, Pick# 12 - Sam Keller QB Nebraska Keller has all the arm you can want but is injury prone and not very mobile but he could develop into a good QB
Round 7, Pick# 10 - Lionel Singleton CB/RS FIU He could be a great returnman who also gives us a solid nickel or dime CB

Knowit,
I think it's pretty darn good. You've got about everybody where they should be. I thnk you could wait a little on Coutu, but maybe not. Kickers sometimes go quickly after round 4. I'd give you an A.

My bad about Coutu...I forgot to change it, they signed Brown.

this is a smart draft, very good. the only thing is i think we could wait one more year on a OT. Draft one next year. I think we should draft a WR in the 2nd. i love this draft though

I was thinking we could also take Heath Benedict or Carl Nicks in Round 3 and James Hardy or another WR in Round 2.

Yeah, i just think now WR is a bigger need then OT, we could still draft a OT in the third. If we drafted a OT in the third is drafting one early next year out of the option

I heard they're all about Glenn Dorsey now....something about a 2-day visit with him or something.

The Rams are in No need of a DT. Laroi will finish his career a ram and then Clifton Ryan will step in with Carriker. I think this is a smokescreen to try and make Miami pick Dorsey number 1 so that Chris Long will go 2.
I have heard reports that the rams have been interested in
Dorsey
Jake Long
Gholston
those three have had visits or are planning on visiting ST.Louis.
I have not heard that the rams have interest in Chris Long, but i assume they do.

I dont even think Dorsey is an option for Mia....they've got a roster full of young DT's already and have so many other, bigger, glaring needs

When the Rams cut James Hall, DE became an overwhelming need for them. It would shock me if they draft Dorsey at 2

Could they draft dorsey and move carriker? I don't knoe I don't watch St Louis much.
I don't know how good mosle's sources are but I just read this. Mosley form ESPN

Jake Long, OT, Michigan: I'm pretty familiar with the folks representing Long (CAA), and this seems like a done deal.
If the Rams could trade down and take Ohio State DE/OLB Vernon Gholston, they might do it. But I'm not sure anyone behind them is desperate to land Long. The Dolphins are interested in this Long, too, but I don't think they'll be able to trade down.

Yerckson I highly doubt they will take Dorsey, Carriker played well last year at DT and is only improving, Carriker could play DE but they are better off leaving him at DT instead of ruining his development.

From what i have read this is what i think these are who the rams are most interested in
1. Chris Long
2.Jake Long
3. Vernon Gholston
Its between those three, someone in the rams organization said that drafting a DT 2nd is not necessary

From what I heard on the radio, Devaney and Linehan like Clifton Ryan alot and are fine with him as their 2nd DT...this is the Rams draft board from what I heard:
1. Chris Long
2. Jake Long(but wants to trade down instead)
3. Gholston
4. Clady

My new updated mock:
Round 1, Pick# 2: Chris Long DE UVA-I am hoping that Miami passes on him because I love him as a player and I think Devaney does too, he has a great character, is a good leader and a great all around DE. Measurables: 6-4 275 4.7 40
Round 2, Pick# 2: Devin Thomas WR Michigan State-The Rams need a playmaker and deep threat at WR and Devin gives them just that, Devin is 6-2 215 and runs a 4.3, the Rams are excellent at developing young WRs and Thomas could be great. Measurables: 6-2 215 4.36 40
Round 3, Pick# 2: Shawn Crable SLB Michigan or Marcus Howard SLB Georgia-Both of these guys can drop back into coverage and have great speed and athleticism to rush the passer, I would love Crable here but I don't think he drops this far but Howard has great speed and strength off the edge but can drop into coverage like a smaller Karlos Dansby. Measurables: Crable: 6-5 245 4.5 40...Marcus Howard: 6-0 235 4.4 40
Round 4, Pick# 2: Duane Brown OT Va Tech-He is a raw LT but has great measurables and athleticism, Duane fits Al Saunder's blocking scheme well because he is a fast LT with great agility, he is still learning to be a LT but could be great under Pace's leadership. Measurables: 6-5 315 4.9 40
Round 5, Pick# 2: Jamie Silva SS Boston College-Jamie could come in and start right away, he is a very smart SS with excellent instincts that will knock you flat out, he lets O.J. drop back and play Center Field. Measurables: 5-11 210 4.6 40
Round 6, Pick# 2: Mike Cox FB Georgia Tech-Cox gives the Rams a big FB who can be a great and powerful lead blocker, Cox can also come out of the Backfield and catch passes. Measurables: 6-1 250 4.8 40
Round 6, Pick# 12: Steve Johnson WR Kentucky-He is a big WR who runs great routes, has excellent hands and great leaping ability, he is not really fast but has deceptive acceleration and quickness. Measurables: 6-3 210 4.55 40
Round 7, Pick# 10: Brad Roach QB Catawba-I really like him as a developmental QB, he is 6-6 250 with arguably the strongest arm in the draft, he has everything you want but would need time to better his ability to read the field and his decision making. Measurables: 6-6 250 4.7 40
What do you guys think?
