Mr. Knowitall
Round 1 Pick #26: Lawrence Jackson DE USC-He gives the Jax a pass rusher who has the skills and size to develop into an everydown DE.
Round 2 Pick #27: Red Bryant DT Texas A&M-Bryant is a good athlete at DT and is a big run stuffer who can take over for Stroud.
Round 3 Pick #9(Bills): Roy Schuenning OG Oregon State-The Jags released starting OG Chris Naeole so they take Schuenning to take his spot.
Round 3 Pick #26: Tom Zbikowski SS Notre Dame-The Jags need a physical SS who will punish WRs and let Reggie Nelson play Center Field.
Round 4 Pick #27: J Leman ILB Illinois-Mike Peterson has had injury problems over the last few years and it would help Darryl Smith's development if they did not keep switching him between ILB and OLB.
Round 5 Pick #14(Bills): Paul Smith QB Tulsa-It is not too early to look toward the future and Smith is a very smart QB with a good arm.
Round 5 Pick #26: Keilen Dykes DT West Virginia-The Jags need to add depth at DT after losing Stroud and Grady Jackson.
Round 6 Pick #27: Marcus Smith WR New Mexico-The Jags have alot of WRs but they don't have a #1, I think they take a chance on a guy with alot of potential who needs polishing.
Round 7 Pick #26: Art Carmody K Louisville-Scobee was injured part of last year so Carmody is an insurance policy.

Round 6 Pick #27: Tyler Polumbus OT Colorado-They take Polumbus for depth after losing Mo Williams to Free Agency, Polumbus is 6-8 310 so is a solid developmental guy.

Are the Jags set to pull another 'Jones' surprise in the 1st? I don't think they sent their QB coach to watch the RB/KR...and, I don't see Flacco lasting to their 27th pick in round 2.

Delaware Pro Day (March 7)

The key prospect here, of course, was QB Joe Flacco, and Jaguars QB coach Mike Shula was among the personnel from 16 teams in attendance. Flacco measured in at 6-6 ¼, 237 and ran position drills, but stuck with the rest of his numbers from the combine. Five other Delaware players, plus three from area small schools, worked out indoors on a rubber track…

» RB/KR Omar Cuff (5-9 7/8, 195): Ran the 40 in 4.55 and 4.56, had a 34-inch vertical jump, 10-foot, 1-inch long jump, 4.12 short shuttle, 6.86 cone drill, 16 reps at the bench press and ran position drills.

I think Flacco will be something special and I guess they think they can get a pass rusher in the 2nd.

Round 1 Pick #26: Lawrence Jackson DE USC-He gives the Jax a pass rusher who has the skills and size to develop into an everydown DE.
Round 2 Pick #27: Dre Moore DT Maryland-If he is here there is no way the Jags pass, Moore is a big DT(6-5 310) but he is a very good athlete and is strong who could excel with John Henderson next to him.

Round 5 Pick #26: Keilen Dykes DT West Virginia-The Jags need to add depth at DT after losing Stroud and Grady Jackson.
Round 6 Pick #27: Jack Ikegwounu CB Wisconsin-Jack has a ton of ability but will miss the year before his injury he was a late first to 2nd but the Jags don't have many needs so they can put him on IR and have the ability to wait until he is healthy, Jack is only 21 so he will be back next year at 22 which is the same age as most college Seniors.
Round 7 Pick #26: Jaymar Johnson WR Jackson State-The Jags need a speedy WR and Jaymar may be able to fight for a roster spot and he gives them a dangerous returnman who has great speed and agility so MOJO does not have to handle return duties.

I guess the Jags fans on here are a minority...LOL
alxcroteau
Yeah we are a minority, i really hate that im missing schedule announcement because of class, with special guest star Maurice Jones-Drew, oh well

I like the draft too
Only things I see happening there will probably be a receiver taken, but they don't need a speed guy, they have Northcutt and Williamson, plus Broussard, he didn't play much but he can fly
I feel like a RB somewhere in here is a need after Toefield left, we're down to 4 if you include D.D. Terry. So maybe a Thomas Brown from UGA, Xavier Omon from NW Mizz St, or Jalen Parmele from Toledo

Leman and Zbikowski are good picks too, maybe Barrett from ASU or Steltz from LSU are also options, as for LB, the Jags usually do pretty good at pinpointing one guy that is perfect for them in the mid stages of the draft like they did with Durant, Daryl Smith, and Ingram, so if not Leman then maybe Ali Highsmith from LSU or Jordan Dizon from Colorado

Yeah the Jags are very successful with LBs, I think Zbikowski will be a better fit next to Nelson because of his physical hitting...
