He just got got his transfer granted. i don't know why he did this unless Tedford told him best would be starting but cal has always been a 1-2 punch combo under Tedford. Montgomery is a local guys up here in Sac and people are saying he might follow carl moore to florida or end up in Eugene. i hope he made the right choice

Montgomery is a good back and I wish him well wherever he goes. However, he just got caught up in too much depth at Cal, and even though he hast he most carries on the team, he doesn't figure much into Cal's plan at RB with Best, Slocum, Vereen, and Deboskie. I doubt he stays Pac-10, although he was very interested ion Washington and Oregon before committing to Cal two years ago(in fact he actually committed and then decommitted from UW).

I can see Florida, where he would do very well.

I don't see Florida as a good fit, they have RBs transferring out because they have so many young guys who were elite high schoolers, they have Moody, Kestawn Moore, Chris Rainey, Mon Williams, and Brandon James.

Yeah, the job at Florida is Moody's to lose at this point, and with the offensive firepower that the Gators have already, it will be very hard for him to lose it.
