1) Well let me spark a little discussion with you. I love the Jags moving up to get Harvey. To move up that far normally would cost a first, but the Jags got out of it with 2nds and 3rds. THATS BRILLIANT and they get arguably the player with the most upside in this draft.

2) The Lions were smart to move down a little bit, and they did reach for Cherilus. But hes a Marinielli type player and all teams seemed to reach for tackle in round 1.

3) Lot of people really liked Brown. Get him there, or don't get him.

4) Totally agree on Nelson, but Ill defer to the Packers, they have great success with receivers.

5) I like Lo-Jack alot, brings some versatility.

Good thoughts...

Here's mine..

1) I think the Ravens needed a QB, and I like they traded back, but value wise I have a problem with Flacco. I do not trust the Ravens and drafting QBs.

2) I really think the Jets moving up to get Dustin Keller was silly.

3) I love Chris Johnson, but the Titans have needs they refuse to address. RB depth is nice, but you have to take a receiver to help Young.

4) The Falcons could have got Sam Baker at their spot in the 2nd.

5) Why would you take Felix Jones, when Mendenhall is there????

Yeah Mendenhall is better than Jones by farrr. But what do you exactly think of Nelson? I've never really heard of him?? And the Jags gave up their first rounder next year too didnt they along with their first this year.. Dustin kelle was an okay pick, Chris Johnson is a second rounder.

I like Nelson. I think he is going to catch a ton of balls and be a good possession receiver. But Malcolm Kelly and 3 other receivers are there that are way better value. But again, I dont hate the pick, just thought there was a little better value there.

Jacksonville sent their first-rounder (26th overall), two third-rounders and a fourth-rounder to Baltimore. They moved up 18 slots!! That manipulation of the draft at its finest. People have moved up less and given up way more. They didn't even loose a 2nd now that I see the details!

okay but they still gave up a fair amount of picks and didnt have to move up that high. they could have moved to say that 15-18 pick range and maybe saved one of those thirds and used it on some more D-line depth or WR.

Well when you target a guy, and you don't feel he is going to be there, you have to pull the trigger. I can't remember the last time I remember a team jumping 18 slots in round 1, and not giving up at least a 2nd! I remember the Lions traded down from 6 to 7 and picked up a 2nd just for moving down 1 slot.

Also you have to look at the team. Jacksonville is about 1 touchdown away from being in the Super Bowl. They don't have a lot of needs, so you do what you gotta do to get the guy you want. They had to move up to 8 to get him because the Bengals would have selected him at 9.

I like 2nd and 3rd rounders for depth too, but JVille is pretty set with their roster. They HAD to get a DE in round 1.

The Cowboys took Felix Jones over Mendenhall because Mendenhall and Marion Barber have the same running styles. In a two back system, you want runningbacks who have different styles. A "Thunder and Lightning" usually is what teams want. Having both Mendenhall and Barber are nice, but the 'Boys probably wanted a complement to one of the best backs in the league right now.

I disagree with alot of that.

1. The Ravens wanted Matt Ryan and couldn't get him, the next best QB is clearly Flacco, and while I dont trust the Ravens drafting QB's either, I'd rather give up a bit to get the QB than end up with Brohm or Henne.

2. That was silly, the Jets didnt need to move up.

3. I agree here as well, Chris Johnson wasnt neccessarry at all.

4. If Duane Brown went 26.....what makes you think Baker would have lasted until round two? I think that was a great trade.

5. Like I've been saying all along, Felix Jones is the change of pace back that Dallas needed, they already have the bruiser in Marion Barber, why take a similar style runner? I like that pick as well.

Here's my 5 Worst Picks so far:

1. Titan's drafting Chris Johnson. They've got running backs, they need receivers and defense....I don't get it.....

2. Raven's passing on Cliff Avril in round 3 twice.....I think he's be a great 34 OLB and we don't have one.....Passing for a safety makes me the most upset here, I think Harbaugh has a man crush on Zib....already refferred to him as "Zibby" and claimed he was going to be his personal body guard.

3. Lions passing on Mendenhall for Gosder Cherilus.

4. Rams taking Avery over any other receiver in the draft.....

5. Falcons taking Matt Ryan, I'm sure I'll take alot of heat for this but I cant beleive they took a QB that high considering what the rest of their team looks like at the moment.....

They stole that pick from Balt, The Jags love Gator players and Harvey is not there at #15, Carolina and Buffalo would likely take him.

Packers stole Jordy right from the Chiefs. I dont think Seattles pick was bad but Duane Brown and Cherilus, cmon

How was Lawrence Jackson a bad pick?
B_rent87
HMM I missed thw hole day, The Chiefs still dominated but what about the Bears! NICE! And howbout the CHiefs getting the next Jared Allen in the 7 round?!!!!!!!!!!

Adam, with the way the OTs were coming off the board in the first round, Sam Baker would have been gone at the latest at #26 when the Texans picked, and quite possibly to the Steelers at #23. We HAD to get one of the better linemen in this draft and when Cherilus came off the board I said I felt we needed to move up with Dallas at #22 to get Baker. In the end, we moved up to #21...and still kept the same numbers of picks and didnt mortgage next years picks either.

It was a very smart, very savvy move from our FO and I think that will show this year.

Dude the Flacco pick was more bad then the Avery pick and I remember when I had Flacco at #26 you said he would NEVER go that high. I am NOT going to make a thing about worst picks because some of these may seem smart in 2 years like the Titans getting Chris Johnson who is a less hyped Reggie Bush to be LenDale's Lightning although the Cherilus pick was DUMB, FIRE Matt Millen, I think Flacco could be good and Avery could be the best WR in this class in the Rams' system and he was arguably the best fit(Saunders liked him more then DeSean).

How was Avery a bad pick? It is the same thing there, there were better DLs still on the board.

LOL Denver got the JACK WILLIAMS! Worst Pick by Far HEHE!

What better DL was on the board when Seattle picked Lawrence Jackson?

I like the Pick. I dont think Seattle had anywhere else to go with that pick, except maybe S. But Jackson, will provide incredible depth and rotation, to give Kerney and Tapp a rest, Seattle sees that a fresh D-line is VERY IMPORTANT, just ask the Giants. I love all of their D-line Picks, it was a good pick, maybe not great right now, but I can't find a way to argue with it, I love the rotation they will have!

Phillip Merling, the Point of the issue is they did not need a DE but could have used a DT or TE.

Every team needs a DE. Always. Ask the Giants. Ask Jacksonville. Pass rush kills, you know that.

Merling is good, but even if he's a better prospect than Jackson, Jackson has less questions surrounding him. Plus Jackson is a hell of a player. Mendenhall is probably better than Felix Jones, but I'm not going to kill Dallas for it because Jones can definitely be an impact player there- that's what they need- a speed threat.

They could have used a DT or TE, yes....

...that's why they took John Carlson and Red Bryant with their next two picks. LOL.
