Just an update from TC..Chris broke his hand the 2nd play on the 1st day of TC. He has been in a cast since then. The expected battle with Ryan Harris hasn't materialized due to the fact that Chris is playing RG because last year's starter Montrae Holland, came in 10-20 lbs over the weight he was supposed to report. He is anxious to get the cast off between 2-4 weeks from now because it's pretty tough to grab a handful of jersey when it is required. Otherwise his health is goo and he is looking forward to his 2nd year as a starter.

Ah man, that sucks! Well, 2-4 weeks doesn't sound too bad. I just hope he doesn't re-aggravate it somehow.

Tell him we're all watching for him and wish him all the best!

He's earning great respect by playing with the cast, and playing well from what I'm hearing. Think he better get used to RG as Harris is more than holding his own at RT. One no-no on the Broncos' OL is carrying excess body weight, so Montrae Holland may have eaten his way out of a job. Both Kuper and Harris were thought of as long-term starters, and you know the old saying "there's no time like the present." In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to see Holland in another uniform this season; the Broncos like versatile linemen and he only plays guard, so if he's not starting is he valuable as a one-act backup? Casey Wiegmann and Erik Pears both can play guard and there's a lot of starting experience there, and rookie Kory Lichtensteiger also is an inside player.
