Among the first of the preseason cuts today is WR Joe Horn who has been angling for a move away from the Falcons. Hardly a great loss given his lack of performance last season, but its another veteran shed from the roster.

Anyway, lets use this thread to discuss those who are cut, or project who could be on their way out the door.

Rex Grossman's career is down the tube, i dont think anyone will give him a chance after this year, he might be one of those, Leftwhich, Harrington. guys that jump from team to team every year.

The Harrington comparison is apt, but even at his best Grossman was never what Leftwhich was a few years ago, and could be again in the right situation, see that later career of Randall Cunningham. Grossman still has the physical tools to be very, very good but has never gotten the mental processes needed to by a very good QB mastered consistently, much like Harrington, however Leftwhich's problems, slow release and immoblity can be covered by a great offensive line and powerful running game. Nothing can fix a guy who panics or forces things 1/2 the time! wink.gif

Grossman reminds me of a young Tony Eason.

But not quite as perfect, [at least until the hitting started] but like Chuck Long or Jeff George he was awsome in practices!! laugh.gif
