UCLA upsets No.18 Tennessee (who I thought was over-rated to begin with) in overtime, but the real story are the two DTs on the Bruins. Both look like they could be legitimate NFL prospects. They overwhelmed that vaunted Tennessee offensive line for most of the game.
I also think Rick Neuheisel is a heck of a coach, not to mention the perfect coach for UCLA, so long as he plays it straight. I don't think he needs to resort to anything like he did in the past to produce a perennial winner at UCLA, that's how good of a coach and teacher he is. For sure, they still need some players there, but, with the national exposure like they had tonight, and the way he handled his players, I think if he plays his cards right he'll be very successful as a recruiter, and there very well could be two national powers residing in LA within the next few years...and the annual battle between USC and UCLA might once again mean something more than bragging rights for LA.

yeah the bruins played a good game. i think phil fullmer is overrated though he has had some very talented teams recently and hasn't had the same magic he used too. i think he keeps beliving he still has old number 16 back there they way they kept firing it up. they have a couple od stud RBs i don't see why they don't grind it out more. but as usual pac 10 dominates. as for the dts they are good but a little undersized. they both have moters though

SR Brigham Harwell and Brian Price SO are the people we are talking about. Harwell was hurt last year. He does look like a prospect and I'll put him in the system this week. Price is still just a SO so we'll wait on him a bit.

Harwell is a midlevel prospect, 5th-6th round. Injury prone and very inconsistent, but he did come to play monday against tennessee. Price is the one that I can see being a top level prospect, top recruit out of Crenshaw high school in LA, big body, good athleticism. Top pick for the 2010 draft if he pans out as planned.

Nice analysis Sam!

That's kinda the way I was looking at it too. Price could be the real deal if he stays disciplined.
