#2 USC Trojans vs #1 Oklahoma Sooners
I would explain this pick, but I just don't have the time at this moment. I'll edit it another day.
cjs206
That would mean the SEC Champion being shut out of the title game, and I just can't see that happening.

Its gonna be BIg 12-SEC

Either OU or Mizzou vs idk somebody from the SEC. Im goin out on a limb and saying Bama wins the SEC..
Vikeswookie
I think it'll depend on how much the Big 12 and SEC beat up on each other... my outside pick of one of the representatives are the Penn St. Nittany Lions vs. Whoever survives between the 12 and SEC...

Alright, here's my reasoning here:

For Oklahoma, I believe they'll run the table. They'll win the Red River Showdown at home this week. Their schedule, although tough, is very favorable in the sense that almost all of their tough games are at home. They have Texas, Kansas, and Texas Tech at home. The only other challenge on the road is Oklahoma State, who I still don't believe in. They may lose a game since they have to play 4 more ranked teams this year, but even if they lose one game, they can still make the BCS championship game, obviously. Their strength of schedule is good enough.

For USC, other than the fact that everyone here is so optimistic and I've been infected with the USC football fever over here, you have to look at the remaining schedule. We play no more ranked teams for the rest of the year!! The three best teams left on the schedule are Arizona State, Cal, and Notre Dame. All of those games are here at the Coliseum. I know that we're succeptible to the Pac-10 upset. However, we don't lose at home. So let's cross out Arizona State, Washington, and Cal as potential upsets for now, even though Arizona State and Cal are talented teams.

So the 4 potential upsets left are Washington State, Arizona, Stanford, and UCLA. Washington State has been terrible this year. They've lost by an average of over 30 points this year!! Arizona has looked good, but I don't believe they have the talent or strong home-field advantage to pull it off. Stanford is always a cupcake. And UCLA has been all over the place this year. Neuheisel will bring up that program, but it'll take a couple of years. So I believe USC will run the table for the remainder of the year.

PP-

Stanford is always a cupcake? Is that for real? Do you not remember Ostrander to the corner for the lead with less than a minute to go?

One time is an exception, not a rule. You should look at the history of USC vs Stanford, especially in recent years, if you want to make that argument. Because it doesn't look too good for Stanford.

I like USC. They were my preseason fav. "Always a cupcake" just doesnt make sense though cause they lost recently. Every week there's upsets. The overall talent level is too high. Like last year App St over Michigan. They went in saying this'll be easy and App stunned Michigan. I

Bad news for ya PP, they lost! Glad your reasoning was so sound laugh.gif

Fine. Texas won, and they're good, I'll admit it. I just always love picking against them. Well, even since that one Rose Bowl game...

But Texas cannot make the BCS championship game due to having one of the toughest remaining schedules in the country. I now think it'll be a Penn State vs USC championship matchup, with the SEC and Big 12 teams beating up on each other. Anddon't count Oklahoma.
Mr. Knowitall
I do not believe that USC will get back to the title game. The Pac 10 is way too weak this season. They don't play another quality team this season and if OSU ends up losing to PSU they'll end up in the 15-25 range so USC will only have 1 win over 1 ranked team. I think UF, Bama or UGA will finish the season with 1 loss and it will be between them, OU, Texas or Mizzou to face PSU in the NCG.

You definitely have a good point. But you forget what college I attend.

how bout florida ny1? I think they still have a good shot
pats4life23
If penn state beats ohio state they have a great chance of running the table and it would be hard to ignore them
