Anyone else think he's a top UC candidate? I'm watching him tonight in the Maryland-Va.Tech game, and he's huge. 6'3" tall 200lbs and he looks like he's got legit 4.3 speed. Only a Junior, but he might be the kinda workout warrior who is exactly what teams hunt for (size/speed/intangibles). If he declares this year, he's bigger than Byrd and faster than Robiskie. What do you guys think?

I like him alot too. He does have legit 4.3 speed if I remember correctly, in the 4.32-4.36 range. He goes up and gets the ball at the highest point and is a good route runner. I think Maclin and Crab are ahead of him now, if both declare, but I think hes number 3 WR Underclassmen and seniors behind Crab and Maclin

Yeah, that catch with Crab last weekend was a great indication of the kinda heart he's got. He should've been tackled out of bounds at about the 4, and he fought ahead, used his body and his physical prowess, and secured the win for the Red Raiders. Crabtree is the real deal in my opinion. If he comes out, I think he's got top 3 talent.

I think hes a better prospect than Calvin was. Crab I think already is one of the top 15 WRs in the world right now. Hes that good I think. Plus, hes not even been a wideout for 3 years...

This is how I'd rank the WRs in the NCAA right now:
1. Crabtree
2. Heyward-bey
3. Harvin
4. Maclin
5. Robiskie
Sleeper Guy:
Louis Murphy: I am a homer but he's a real good player. I know Florida WRs haven't been great but that was under Spurrier, so far the only 2 WRs that Meyer has had drafted high have been Caldwell and Jackson(both are being derailed by injuries and playing in deep WR cores). But Murphy is 6'1 185-190 but he's real smart WR(watch that play he made against Asher Allen when he knew the ref was blocked) and has sub 4.4 speed(clocked in the 4.3 range at UF). He also is a smart route runner and has good hands(good jumper as well), his weaknesses are his route running can become sloppy, he can disappear and he's not great at making catches in traffic.

I think RR nailed it with the top 3:
1. Crabtree
2. Maclin
3. Heyward-Bey
After that, there's a number of players that are vying to fill out the top 10.

I think you have to throw Percy Harvin in that mix as well...I'm not saying he's necessarily above any of those but he is someone will garner that sort of consideration, especially with the dual threat he brings.

I say they all will go in the 1st round. Depending on needs though, Harvin could go high. Teams see how Chris JOhnson is doing, maybe they take a chance on Harvin. Imagine SD with that another threat like that on O. I think Tennessee has to take a one of these guys if there available at the bottom of the 1st.

Where would you guys put Kenny Britt my personal favorite from rutgers, he leads the ncaa in yards per game (119.1). He has great size(6.4) and although he isnt DHB fast he has decent speed, i like him enough to go in the 1st but dont see him falling past the 2nd round although this site says otherwise?
On DHB, i havent watched alot of games of his yet but ill be sure to look out for him during his bowl game.

My two cents:
KB is a GREAT sleeper pick for going as high as the late second. He is #105 in my (unpublished) list of Top 100 verge guys.
The other Kenny (McKinley from South Carolina) narrowly beats him out because of slightly better hands.
I can see KB becoming a solid #2 fairly quickly at the next level though in the right situation.

I think theres a huge battle from the top 4 after. Jeff said it earlier. Jauquin Iglesias, Britt, Hakeem Nicks, Lafell(my favorite for 5), Mckinley, Louis Muprhy, Derrick Williams, and Robiskie.
I think Jarret Dillard could sneak into mid 2 like Jerome Simpson did last year

Receiver is going to be hard to predict again this year. Who had Avery going #1 at the position last year? Anyone besides the Rams? I loved Avery and didn't have him that high.
I already listed my top 3 (Crabs, Maclin, and DHB)... after that I would probably go with these guys to round out my top 10:
4 Percy Harvin (although I wouldn't be surprised if he was an NFL bust)
5 Ramses Barden
6 Juaquin Iglesias
7 Louis Murphy
8 Kenny Britt
9 Brandon LaFell
10 Sammie Stroughter

Why ya gotta hate on Harvin?

The only knock on him is durability.

And the fact that he's a WR from Florida. When was the last time a Gator wideout lived up to his billing in the NFL?

You're kidding, right?
First of all, he played at Florida State, not Florida.
Secondly, he didn't come even
CLOSE to living up to the expectations that come with being the fourth overall pick of the (2000) draft. His best year was 2003, with 79 receptions for 819yds (10.4 avg) and 7 TDs. He never made a Pro Bowl. He couldn't even cut it in the Arena or Canadian leagues.
Again, when was the last time a Florida Gator receiver lived up to his billing in the NFL?

Sorry my mistake.
And ya Im kidding lol, He had what 1 good year? What a solid pick at number 4, the next 4 picks were Jamal LEwis, Corey Simon, Thomas JOnes, Plax Burress and Urlacher. Cincy would be much better served with any of them

Ike Hilliard has had a nice career. I think Darrell Jackson lived up to his hype while he was in Seattle.
I just wonder if Harvin will find his niche in the NFL. If he goes to a team that doesn't utilize him correctly, he could fail big time.
