Hawaii stayed in El Paso, TX for the 2nd road game in a row for the Warriors. They got down early after Chris Williams hit them for a TD but the Warriors seemingly scored on every possession in the first half and then simply held serve.

Adam Leonard 44 5' 11.5" 235 4.70 LB 2009
Good solid game by Leonard. Fills his gaps and makes the sure tackle. Doesn't jump out, but part of that is that Elimimian doesn't let much go by. Was solid in zone drops. Should get a late round grade or priority UDFA. Grade: Positive

Solomon Elimimian 17 5' 11.5" 220 4.65 LB 2009
Fills every gap and doesn't let much get by. Had 10 tackles, but was seemingly everywhere. Had a sack and a PBU. Can dominate at times and teams shy away from testing the middle after awhile. Can get up and make tackle after tackle. Main issue is he's undersized for the middle at the next level. May have to move to the outside. Very productive player who has outstanding instincts. Not bad in pass coverage either. Grade: Very Positive

John Estes 55 6' 1.5" 292 5.10 OG 2010
Locks out his man and is able to anchor. Gets push and turn the few times they run it. Solid in pass protection and should be a top center next year. Needs to improve his leg strength and drive. Grade: Positive

Ryan Mouton 2 5' 9.5" 180 4.50 CB 2009
Had 3 tackles. Covered the slot many times. Came on a CB blitz and was just a step away from getting the QB. Had a pick 6 on a 91 yard return for a TD! Plays a little offense too. Didn't give up anything of note in pass protection. Grade: Very Positive

David Veikune 94 6' 2.0" 250 4.80 DE 2009
Had a sack but no tackles. Had to look for him on the field and did not stand out at all. Grade: Slightly Negative

Chris Williams(2) 28 5' 8.0" 163 4.45 WR 2009
Absolutely phenomenal game!!! Had 3 TDs one for 84 yards and one for 83. If he's even, he's leaving! As on both TDs he caught the ball deep and ran away from the defenders. Plays with a chip on his shoulder. Plays with a small man's complex, but backs it up. I don't mean that in a bad way. Caught 7 balls for 221 yards. Chipped in a TD on a post pattern. Opens up his run stride in the open field and cannot be run down. If this kid was 5 inches taller he'd be a first or second round draft choice. As is, a team is going to have to give him a chance on STs and play in the slot. Returns kicks for NMSU and is skilled at that as well. He's extremely quick and has excellent start/stop ability and can acclerate and get to top speed in three strides. Grade: Very Positive

Chase Holbrook 12 6' 5.0" 240 5.00 QB 2009
Had a good solid game. Has an excellent QB/WR relationship with Williams. Hits him in stride and leads him at full speed. Has more mobility than you'd expect but is a pocket passer only. Has an above average arm. Plays in the Air Raid Offense and does not take snaps from under center. Shows good touch. His line on the night was 24-38-294 with 4 TDs and 2INTs. Tough kid who will stand in the pocket. On the down side, he makes mistakes at times trying to force it. Part of the problem is that him and Williams are the only talent on the team. Should get a look in the draft late day 2. Has shown improvement since last year. Grade: Positive

Very informative, Brett. I leaned a lot from this one. Several guys added to the position rankings.

Did I put Williams about right, do you think, given his size?

I just checked the rankings and I didn't see Williams. What # did you put him at?

I think that's about right. His size will be problematic for any team. I think he's a heck of a player. He has to be at his size. He also high jumped 6'10" if memory serves me in high school. He's similar to that kid who came out of Stanford and played for the Colts and I think the Vikings. The kid I'm trying to remember was the son of an NFL player if memory serves me. He came out about 7-10 years ago. That's probably the type of career Williams will have at best. A team like the Colts who won't get hung up about his size would be best. I can think of an AFC N team that needs a KR and PR who could use him. I think you know who I'm talking about. wink.gif

Yep. That's who I couldn't remember. Williams is him but faster. He's really an electric player. If someone was still running the Run N Shoot or smurf type WRs he'd be perferct. Maybe Al Saunders offense in STL. I was watching more tape of him last night and the announcers were saying 4.24 40. IDK if he can run that but I see sub 4.4 at the least.
