I like how his season has progressed and believe he's been worth the big money the Vikes paid, but my God! He just needs to leave a blank check at Goodell's office next time he ends up having to visit.

Does anyone else think there's been far too much inconsistency in Goodell's punishments?

Idk what the board that Goodell has is thinking. Some of these fines are ridiculous. I hope they nail Gosder Cherilus for that low blow on Allen this weekend. mad.gif

I think Goodell believes in selective punishment. That is, punish the guy that won't cost the NFL too much revenue.

I was getting burnt by all the fines/punishment going on throughout the season... what hurt even more was seeing other players hitting ours and not getting their just rewards. (ie. Ogunleye's late hit on Gus)

Oh please....Ogunleye's hit was a joke. Gus flopped and tried to act on it. Did they bump into each other...yes. Ogunleye was trying to slow down and Gus was backing up. It was funny how he layed down like he was knocked out but then got right up and was fine.

So... the fact that there was multiple steps taken by both players well after the ball was thrown and the fact that Ogunleye dipped his shoulder right before contact doesn't lead you to believe that it was his intention to hit Gus?

Gus even stated that the hit got him right below his shoulderpads, just above his flak jacket... and it was the last thing he expected due to how many steps he had taken after he threw it...
