He's a name i've been hearing a lot lately along with former Steelers coach Bill Cowher. Anyone know more about these two guys and do you expect any of the two to really consider taking this challenge?

Also any other names out there that haven't been so widely mentioned?

You would have to have GOD as your president or owner or whatever for those two to come to the Lions. Not trying to be mean, but these are just some mumblings, and nothing more than mumblings.

Pioli would be outstanding if you could get him to come. Rumors are circulating he wants to finally get out of Belicheck's shadow. He's an very good judge of talent. If he did come I'm sure he'd want his own coach.

Pioli seems more reasonable that Cowher, but Ford better ask Congress for an extra 20 mil tacked onto that buyout if they want to get either. I highly doubt Cowher would come out of retirement to inherit a talentless team as his first front office gig. Lot's of people are talking about he'll go to the Browns too, although I can't see him doing that either. Could you imagine the chin in Cleveland? That's about as close to treason as it gets if you're a Steelers fan.

I'd like to see both Scott Pioli and Matt Cassel in Detroit next year
