It's way too early for this, but here goes. I'm assuming the Eagles win at least 2 of their last 3 games and move into the early 20s for their pick.

Round 1, Pick 22 - Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma
Gresham will likely declare early. He's a big, physical player who's as well-known for pancake blocks as he is for big catches. The Eagles will let LJ Smith explore free agency and immediately upgrade their offense with this pick.

Round 1, Pick 29 (from Carolina) - Fenuki Tupou, OT, Oregon
Tupou got into a bit of trouble for accepting a $10 lunch and $100 from an agent. He reportedly tried to return the $100 to the agent immediately, but was turned away. He reported it (in a class move) and received a one-game suspension. He's a massive man with outstanding strength, size, athleticism, and pretty good technique for a former JUCO transfer. The Eagles' starting OTs are both in their mid 30s and neither is under contract for 2009, so OT has to be a priority.

Round 2, Pick 22 - Rashad Jennings, RB, Liberty
The Eagles need a reliable RB option to pair with the quickly aging Brian Westbrook. He's a bigger back who has good speed and quickness. He's been increasingly productive in his years at Liberty after transferring from Pitt.

Round 3, Pick 22 - Max Unger, OC/OL, Oregon
Unger was an outstanding LT at Oregon before the Ducks decided to take advantage of his skills and intelligence at OC. He's versatile and he's a mauler. Jamaal Jackson has regressed each of the past two years, so it's time to shake things up. Drafting him in the same class as Tupou will help with the all-important offensive line chemistry.

Round 4, Pick 22 - Chip Vaughn, SS, Wake Forest
Former Eagles LB G. Cobb has a great line about SS Sean Considine. He's like a Hollywood extra who is always at the scene of the crime. If there's a big play, Considine is usually seen nearby. Quintin Mikell is much better, but he's still a better backup than starter. Vaughn is a classic run-stopping SS who plays with a lot of vinegar and can lay the lumber (sorry for the cliches). He'll have to improve against the pass, but the Eagles do have solid CBs and an up-and-comer at FS in the ball-hawking Quentin Demps.

Wow, that would be a really solid draft, the only question I have is Gresham, if he has a near Vernon Daviseque combine, might he not be snapped up by: Oakland, Green Bay, Minnesota, etc eho might be seeking a classic "seam stretcher" TE. I would not be shocked to see Gresham go in the 1st half of the draft. PS I LOVE Chip Vaughn! He might be one of the top bargains in this draft. wink.gif
