It seems like everyone; vegas, fans and media think the bears will and should win.

I just have a bad feeling about tonight, nothing to back it up. Well maybe having a Dr Jeykl and Mr hide secondary and having possibly the worst receiveing corp in the league.

Just not looking forward to tonight.

Hey wasn't pretty tonight, but it was a win. Its nice to see the Bears getting turnovers and even a special teams touchdown.

I am very disappointed in the receivers too, but I wouldn't classify them as the worst in the league. They might be the most inconsistent though. I would love to see the Bears go after a top receiver in free agency. Could you imagine Housch in Solider Field. That would be great.

I think they are they worst, thats just me though. The bears best wr Hester has seemingly less effect on the passing game than Forte and Olsen. Not to mention Hester is considered our best wr, but if 51st in the league in yards and touchdowns.

I will say he has gotten better over the course of the year. This may sound crazy but i would like to see Manning return kicks and Earl Bennett return punts. Hester seems to get better at wr the less and less he returns the ball.

I thought Brandon Lloyd played pretty well before he got injured. I agree with you on using Manning to return kicks, but Hester has to stay on punts. Its not all his fault that he hasn't returned one.

The Bears should use Hester the way that the Saints used Reggie Bush his first year. Throw screens and maybe get him the back field. He will and shouldn't be a every down receiver.

Hester IMHO should be used a bit lake a current Roy Green, see 8-20 snaps on both sides of the ball as needed and concentrate on returns. If you need WRs go get one, Hester could be a good complement to a real #1 WR, IMHO! wink.gif

Oh yeah he clearly needs a number one wr with him.

I have to strongly disagree with him not returning one for a td not being his fault. Yes a rash of injuries has pulled some talented special teamers of special teams to fill in as starters. BUT that doesn't explain Hester running backwards most of the time, or making stupid decisions on fielding balls inside the ten, nor does it explain him muffing punts.

Its simple to me. The national media doesn't talk about it but the local all chicago radio station does. Hester is very, very dumb! He has a hard time digesting the playbook and concentrating on returns too. He either needs to ONLY return balls or ONLY be a wideout.

When he was only a return man he was legendary!

When he was returning punts and kickoffs and trying to be a starting wideout he did poorly to average at all.

Now that they have releaved him of kick returns he has noticably started running better routes and looking less confused when lining up and just flatout playing better football.

So, take away the punts and draft or sign a number one wr and you might have a good duo.

I'd use him as a ballhawk nickel or dime back, WR in special packages and have him concentrate on returning kicks and punts as he can when he has that in the entree spot on his plate! wink.gif

The bears thought they would be cheap and make him a wr. Ideally they would have ponied up money for a couple fa wrs and drafted a good one. Then left Hester to be a return man.

As far as db, he was bad at it in college and in the limited time he tried it at the pro level. I don't think we want to see that experiment.

I personally think it should be exclusively at WR or return man.

Just one fans opinion though.
