The next installment of the CDS Interactive Mock Drafts will be coming your way at 1pm ET (12pm CT, 10am PT, 6pm GMT) on Saturday January 17th and we will once again be going live for the event!

As usual, I will have power of veto over any extremely unfair trades, though I must say I was very impressed that I didn't have to use it at all during the last IMD so good job everyone.

To all the regulars: get your friends to sign up and be active guys. The more people we have around for the draft and to trade, the more fun these tend to be.

I've already been asked about free agency and that will be included in a later IMD, probably towards mid-March when I have a good idea on cap values and the full list of free agents.

It's not that big a deal. Pretty soon Craig will open a thread for trades, and you make as few or as many as you like on your free time as you want up until draft day.

When the 17th comes, you show up at the appointed time, and you can make draft day trades too, or just sit back and make your picks. A 4-rounder with our new interactive "chat room" like setup should only take about 3-4 hours if everyone is paying attention and picking when their turn comes up.

Afterwards, we all post a summary of everyhing we did--trades and draft picks--and then everyone votes on a WINNER who they think improved their team the most given what they had to start with.

I'll take the Texans, however if any Texan fan comes on here wanting their team, don't be afraid to grab them and I can take another team.

I'm sorry things have dragged on with the last IMD but I will be announcing the winner later today. And since I keep getting questions about free agency, there will be an entire IMD slated for mid-March which will have free agency attached as part of it. As those who took part last year will know, it takes a load of preparation and data input on my end and that's why we can only do 1 per year but I love it which is why we do it!

Also, if anyone knows people who would be interested in doing the IMDs, get them along here and signed up! These are much better when we have 32 interested GMs so let's try and achieve that shall we?
