So Michael Turner and Roddy White made the Pro Bowl for the Falcons, and deservedly so. You could make a case that John Abraham and Matt Ryan should have made it, too, but at least they're first alternates. I've seen some members of the media state that Ovie Mughelli, Todd McClure, Kieth Brooking, Lawyer Milloy, and Michael Koenen deserved Pro Bowl consideration. I personally think you could make a case for Jason Elam and Jason Snelling (as a special teams coverage guy).

What do you folks think? Did the Falcons who made it deserve to go? Should other Falcons have gone instead of the players chosen over them (Ryan instead of Eli Manning, for example? Or Abraham over Jared Allen?)?

Also, out of personal curiosity, does anybody know where to go to find out who the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc., alternates for the Pro Bowl are?

I think they got it about right. I think Matt Ryan is a shoe in next year if he reproduces this kind of year and avoids the almost-inevitable "sophomore jinx."

I am so proud of Roddy. I remember interviewing he and Darrell Hackney together a few years ago, and thinking what a great kid he was. I love to see kids from no-name programs like UAB doing stuff like this!

Turner and White were both perfect choices, though Abraham definitely should have made it without a doubt. I'm sorry, but there's no way Peppers has had a better year than JA.

I don't think you can complain about any of the other guys who missed out though...they may have deserved consideration (and got votes from me) but I think its probably just about right.

No doubt JA got snubbed.

White and Turner were shoo ins IMO.

Has McClure been that good? Same with Brooking, if so we obvisouly dont need a C or LB in the 1st day... Also same situation with Milloy.....

Mughelli is a great blocker and a big reson for the Burners success

and if they win the Facons go to the PLAYOFFS!!!!!

Milloy had a strip to force another fumble. Hes been around the ball alot to day...

Falcons got another gift. The playoffs were just meant to be.

Weiner on Allen is potentially the dumbest lineup decision in the entire NFL this year. Ryan has ridiculous pocket presence and accuracy on the move. He's not a scrambler but is mobile when need be like Peyton and Tom are. Man do I love him.

PS- Just realized the 2 best 4-3 DEs are in this game, Allen and JA.

Right now, Falcons are set up to play Arizona, which is the best situation IMO. I think we could make it to the 2nd round easily... After that though is doubtful..

For all Outkast and Falcons fans:

I say, what's cooler than being cool?

Right now I see Atlanta and Carolina marked only has having clinched playoff berths, not that Carolina has clinched the division and Atlanta a wildcard spot. So, is there actually some possibility that if Atlanta wins next week and Carolina loses that Atlanta would win the division? And if they did, wouldn't that mean they'd move all the way up to the #2 seed and get a first week bye and at least one home playoff game?!?!?!?!

Yes. If Carolina loses and Atlanta wins next week, which are both possible, Atlanta would end up being the #2 seed in the NFC.

How crazy is that?
