Just was wondering. Is crabtree a sure fire-can't miss talent like Fitz or Megatron were?

He seems to fit the part very well. OR Is he just the best wr in this class.

My first reaction is that the kid amazing and will be an instant impact.

But with no logic or rational explanation I just feel a little bit reserved and cautious. Maybe its indigestion, I don't know what I am feeling.

Am I alone in this feeling of reserve?

I would say he is an elite receiver, just a step below Fitz and Johnson.

I say on par with both of them, BUT wont get recognition for it due to the fact he doesn't run an amazing 40. He'll be as good as Fitz easy I think. The kid is fearless.

I would look across from Fitz for the best comparison for Crabtree...Anquan Boldin. He's not going to WOW anyone at the combine, but he is just that damn good.

Coming from a guy who usually has a level headed scouting report, thats high praise!

I guess thats what gave me th reserve was the fact that he isn't going to leap over a small car or run a blazing forty time.

But he just a great "football" player, huh?

Fair enough.

If he runs in the low to mid 4.5s at the combine he would likely drop to the 2nd half of round one. That would make him a real bargain, he reminds me of Art Monk. wink.gif

I would love it if he fell to the bears!
If he does run that time would a WR go before him then?

If Darrius Heyward-Bey runs a 4.31 he has an outside shot at cracking the top 15-20, IMHO.

I was hoping he wouldnt have a great combine and then fall to Chicago in the second. He's my guy!
