So far...
Gerald McCoy has proven to me he's the most dominate player in the country.
TRavis Lewis will be a top 15 pick when he comes out.
Lendy Holmes fills hard!
And OU's defense in general is soooooo underrated...

Also, it is quite apparent to me that "The speed of the SEC" is overated. Rainey, James, Demps and Harvin are getting stuffed, minus the 45 yarder from Harvin. Early in the 2nd, when OU scored, it looked as if that OU was known as the fast team with the hurry up O.

Cody did make himself alot of money. This game and a good combine top 10 isn't out of the question.
I kinda really liked what i saw from Harvin, I had no idea he benched that much.
As of now I would take harvin over maclin, but who cares what i think.

Not overrated at all, in the 2nd half UF's speed on defense and offense was the reason it won. Ahmad Black is quite a playmaker at FS!

I think Harvin is an elite talent too, but with his history with injuries does anybody else think that he will drop out of the first round?
On a side note I am so sick of the Tebow hype. He is a great college football player and possibly one of the all time greats, but the hype makes me want to puke. Tom Brennaman during the game was just ridiculous. Saying "If you spend 5 minutes with Tebow, your life will be better off," and when Tebow got a 15 yard penetly for taunting "That was the first thing he did wrong in his entire life." I know he is a great player and person, but the hype is out of control.
Oh by the way. This morning on bot ESPN radio and Fox radio Todd McShay said that if he comes out he is a 4th round quarterback and Mike Mayock said that he is not an NFL quarterback.

FL looked a lot faster in the 2nd half. That's what happens often times. Teams can play for a half, but when fatigue sets it the difference shows.

Sorry to pick on you here, but you're not the only one to make this mistake. I see it far too often and, as a former English teacher and someone who performs a lot of editing in his current career, I felt the need to illustrate the difference.
domin
ate = a verb; something a player does to another player
domin
ant = an adjective; a word to describe a player who can dominate

McCoy is an absolute beast and a top 5 prospect for the 2010 draft. Correct me if I am wrong, but he has said he will return to OU, right?

After the first half, I just muted my TV. I was surprised that Brennaman didn't say he fantasized about Tebow when he was with his wife.
I would have to say I was disappointed Tebow did not raise the dead or at least heal the blind during the halftime festivities.

Oh, and RR...Cal RB Jahvid Best is the most dominant player in the country. He made a solid "U" defense look like milk toast in the Emerald Bowl and is (and I know this is a cliche, but it's true..) the next Barry Sanders.

Hold on there, he's more like Robert Smith than he is like Barry, though he looks like he's more able to play with injury than Smith.

I don't know, Bill. This guy has some SCARY moves...not quite Barry, but not far off, and as good as Barry at his stage of development.

I hate it when people say that Tebow led Florida to two National Titles. Maybe I missed something, but Chris Leak was the starter and Tebow came in for about 10 or so plays.

Thanks Jeff for the grammer help.
Steve, let me correct myself. McCoy is the most dominant DEFENSIVE player in the country.
Best is good, but best? Im not a fan of Tebow, but he can dominate. Shonn Greene is also one of the backs that takes over, but pounding the ball unlike Best. Darren Evans is impressive, but proboly not on the same level.
Best reminds me of Reggie as well..

All I know is I hope to the Lord that an ACC team would go to a no huddle- hurry up offense so they would see themselves how out of shape their main officiating crew is over there..
You probably didn't see this on TV but on no less than 6 occasions the OU coaching staff was literally on the field screaming at the officials for calling an officials time out or maybe a more appropriate term would be 'play-stoppage' and then, not move away from the ball after it had been spotted for the next play so OU could run the called play...instead, the official would stand over the ball while the OU offense would be set to go at the line of scrimmage waiting for the other officials to position themselves while the Florida defense was scrambling to get into some type of defensive formation; this defeated the whole purpose of what OU was doing and gave Florida time to adjust and reset.

well it looks like tebow is coming back. i think that he can only be doing this to get a degree and maybe he doesn't plan on playing in the nfl. i think even if he improves his passing(windup, release, motion etc) which is almst impossible at this point in a players career, nfl teams are going to be leary of taking a qb that has had more carries than most rbs.

How about the no call on the pass interference on Oklahoma's first possession. The Florida DB lead with his head and got there before the ball and no call.

I agree. He's nowhere as quick and shifty as Barry Sanders. Sanders could stop and start like no other back I've ever seen and probably ever will see again. Robert Smith doesn't seem like an apt comparison either.

There were bad calls all around but that wasn't a terrible call, it was a bang-bang play and even in the replay he hit him right as the ball hit Wright's Back so it was too close to call especially on a long pass but if they were going to call that one, they probably should have called the Rainey Horse Collar.

I'm not sure what you are basing this on since Faulk had the better career numbers: He compiled one of the greatest freshman seasons in NCAA history, gaining 1,429 yards rushing, with 23 total touchdowns (21 rushing), and 140 points scored. In his sophomore year he came in second in the Heisman voting, his junior year he made the All-American team again and caught a career-high 47 passes for 640 yards, which aided him in ranking 3rd in all-purpose yardage that year and 2nd in scoring. Faulk left San Diego State University with many of the school's offensive records, amongst them 62 career touchdowns, which is the 8th most in NCAA history.
And he did that with less talent around him, but the Best- Chris Johnson, Curtis Dickey, Ronnie Harmon style TB seems a bit closer than the others.
