I would do the following to take the Falcons to the next level:

Re-sign the following internal free agents - UFAs DE Chauncey Davis, CB Domonique Foxworth, MLB Tony Gilbert, DT Grady Jackson, P Michael Koenen, TE Justin Peelle, and OLB Coy Wire & RFAs OT Tyson Clabo, OG Harvey Dahl, SS Jamaal Fudge, and OL Ben Wilkerson

Allow the following internal free agents to move on - UFAs OLB Michael Boley, OLB Keith Brooking, OT Wayne Gandy, DT Jason Jefferson, and SS Lawyer Milloy

Release the following players - WR Brian Finneran, WR Eric Weems, TE Jason Rader, TE Marcus Pollard, OT Todd Weiner, C Todd McClure, DE Simon Fraser, DT Kindal Moorehead, CB Glenn Sharpe, S Eric Brock, & S Antoine Harris

(I know there are other players currently listed as being on the roster on the Falcons' official website, but I believe the ones listed above are the only ones who were ever actually active for at least one game this past season)

Sign the following external free agents - OT Jordan Gross (Panthers), C Jason Brown (Ravens), OLB Karlos Dansby (Cardinals), & SS Sean Jones (Browns)

Draft the following players -

Round 1, Pick 25: B. J. Raji DT Boston College
Round 2, Pick 57: Trevard Lindley CB Kentucky (if he declares)
Round 3, Pick 89: Brian Robiskie WR Ohio State
Round 4, Pick 121: traded to the Titans along with a conditional 2010 pick for TE Craig Stevens
(is that a realistic trade?)
Round 5, Pick 153: Brannan Southerland FB Georgia
Round 6, Pick 185: traded to the Broncos on September 2, 2008 for CB Domonique Foxworth
(I believe it was either a 6th or a 7th to the Broncos for Foxworth)
Round 7, Pick 217: Kevin Akins LB Boston College

Make the following position changes - Tyson Clabo from RT to RG, Renardo Foster from LT to RT, Von Hutchins from CB to FS, Thomas DeCoud from FS to SS

QB: Matt Ryan, Chris Redman, D. J. Shockley

I would smile for ages, but I think that FA prediction is quite unreal lol. I love Raji, Lindley and all the FAs... Not much time now, so I should be able to respond in more depth later..

Harvey Dahl was the RG on Peter KIng's, of SI, All pro team. Surprised me. Thomas was GM of the year and Ryan OROY.

Why are those free agent signings unreal? Do the Falcons not have the cap space? Would they not have the cap space after releasing the players I suggested? Are all of the external free agents I suggested likely to be franchised or something?

I ask these questions out of genuine curiosity, not as some sort of challenge or argument, by the way.

Oh, and I did see Dahl on King's All-Pro team. Normally I really respect King's opinion (his "Monday Morning Quarterback" on si.com is required reading, as far as I'm concerned), but I think he's on crack with that one. Given his background, Dahl did perform admirably, but he wasn't anywhere close to an All-Pro in the games I saw.

I love the signings, and we could proboly sign them all. Its just that all those players are all top 15 FAs. Get what Im saying? It just seems unlikely that a lot of top FAs would come...

Anyone think that anyone would take Dahl and we get a 2nd or any pick? I think that could definately be a possibility
