Jim Schwartz, the defensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans, is in line to get the Detroit Lions head coaching position. Schwartz has been the Titans D-coordinator for 8 years and the Titans have had a very solid defense during his tenure.

I like the idea of getting Schwartz, he is great at turning nothing into something. Look at what he has done with guys such as Cortland Finnegan, Jevon Kearse(who has resurrected his career this year), Kyle Vaden Bosch, and Kevin Vickerson. All these guys had no light ahead but he has made them great, and some of the best at their positions. Schwartz's defenses have been great and he seems like a great guy to turn this Lions team around and hopefully turn it into a respectable team. It's going to take a lot, but I think this is the guy to do it.

Tell me what you think...

Well that D will be a helluva lot better! Im excited to see the turnover for DET. Look at ATL... That draft will have lots of D.

And that's what I see in Schwartz. I see that this will be a great draft for him to take over because this draft is very deep in D, and with mostly high picks, Detroit could make a huge turnaround. If the Lions were to draft 5 defensive players, and three of them would start, I could see a decent defense in Detroit next season.
