Seeing as how the Lions were DEAD last in defense, I hope that we draft one OL, a kick returner(later rounds), and then all defense. Looks like a good crop of LB's and DL's this year. Thoughts?

Yes, exactly what they should do. They must also draft CBs as well, which comes after DT, and LB for biggest needs.

I actually think that because the draft is far deeper at LB and Dline, the Lions 1st rounders may both be offensive players and that then they may go on a defensive run. I also reckon Jim Schwartz will splash out in free agency on some defensive players and then trust his own coaching ability. Think of what Mike Smith did with a fairly average D this year, and one that was pretty awful last year. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Lions tried to follow that model this offseason.

It seems with the new coach’s comments on needing a “Replacement” for bobby lane… I really wouldnt mind taking stafford with our #1 but that leave us with the famous quarterback carousel and we would look like fools once again. still i would cut ties with kitna and orlovsky and keep on culpepper and stanton. with stafford we can afford to let him sit for the first season and let stanton test the waters. with our second pick most people want us to go defense and i agree 100% but stay with me on this scenario, we take stafford #1 and at 20 we can take a list of players granted they may not be there but a Lauronitus from Ohio State since mauluga is gone top ten. or tray and trade up and get malcom jenkins the cb from Ohio State. We obviously need to address the defense throughout our draft, but we have so many glaring holes, what about percy harvin in the second round? complement to calvin johnson? or jeremy macklin both have blistering speed and return ability and calvin cant do it all by himself. lastley i think the lions could oull of a blockbuster off season… if they grow a pair and spend some money we can get Julius Peppers from carolina baring that he doesnt get franchised, that right there would be a huge hole shored up for a long time to come. in my opinon the fords need to empty there pockets this season and go out and get some elite players not just bodys to fill holes. lemme know what you think.

Personally the lions are so bad and have so many holes. I would draft BPA no matter the position (except WR)

AND

Trade away for multiple picks too.
