In 5 days time there we will all be watching the Steelers against the Cardinals from Tampa Bay's Raymond James stadium, so I figured it was time to start up the official SuperBowl discussion thread.

IF there is enough interest, I will consider doing a live SuperBowl blog for the second year even though I will be sat in a hotel room watching the game (my business challenge team have a semi-final on the Monday morning but we're all planning on watching the game anyway)

So, who do you think will win? Any guesses as to who will be the MVP? And would you like to see an official blog right here for the game?

Answers on a postcard in the usual way...

MVP Big Ben

Pitt by at least 2 touchdowns. MVP Santonio Holmes

The only chance i think arz has is if pitt blitzes alot! Warner is historically good at pre snap reads and hitting the hot route. I think LeBeau is smart enough though pitt should handle arz easily.

pitt 34
arz 13

Pittsburgh 27
Arizona 20

Similar script to Super Bowl XL against the Seahawks in that Pittsburgh cruises to an early lead, and their defense squashes a high powered offense all game until the Cardinals offense finally comes alive in the 4th. Too little too late however, as a late Kurt Warner interception seals the deal for the Steelers.

MVP: Troy Polomalu

Cards win and it will be an upset. Probably not as big as last year though. What where the Pats 12 point favs?

I think it was around that. How bout when the Pats beat the Rams i think they were 14 point underdogs? Or Joe Namath's miraculous W?
First the cards most win but if they do...

27-23.. I was off by a FG. I told my Dad this morning that Big Ben would have a great comeback, and what do ya know, he did!

These playoffs have proved to me that Dockett is the best UT in the league....

Well I was way off on the final score. That was actually one of the more enjoyable superbowls in recent years.

Somewhat close prediction. Being the resident Steeler fan I am extremely happy with the outcome. Had some moments at the end where I was puckering. In the end, I popped the champagne and called in sick to work!!!!

I was the one who was only off by a field goal! haha

Gotta say one thing to you Steelers fans... you are VERY lucky that the personal foul penalty during the punt on James Harrison was determined to be after the whistle. As such, it ended up being a one-yard penalty. If it occurred during the play (which it very well might have), the penalty would have been 15 yards and a first down for Arizona.
