I need to find something with all the rooms on the first floor in a slightly warmer climate so that my wife's aging folks can move in with us without having to manouver up and down stairs.

Steve,

Your house was built in 1850?? What's up with that?? Is the wood still good after 150 years?? Looks like a very nice house in a nice area. My wife will not go anywhere that is colder than where I live now.

You can TRADE houses?

Yea, you can. This site's been mentioned on Oprah and featured on CNN, etc. Both people cut out the middle man and nobody pays real estate brokers. It's a win-win situation as far as I'm concerned.

BTW...I'll trade her for a 2nd round pick in this year's draft and a conditional 3-5th rounder in the 2010 draft.

Probably none of you flatlanders and city slickers are tough enough to survive up here though... biggrin.gif

Really? Hmmm...there aren't that many offset double federals out there.

Who is Sereykos though, D?

Brett,

Yea, the wood is fine. They built them rugged back then. They had to.

It was 36-below here a week ago...lol...coldest day I've ever personally witnessed in my life! Must be that global warming...lol...

My parents are selling their house (trying to, anyway, in this economy). Ironically, this house was built in 1849, so I know all about growing up in an old house. There are still horse-hair plastered walls in the original part of the house.

Anyone interested in buying it?
