The Lions are not only only the embarrassment of the National Football League but they are the laughing stock of the sports world in general. Never has any professional franchise been so pathetic in every way. An 0-16 record should never happen for a NFL team....EVER. This isn't baseball where you have teams like the Yankees buying whatever player they want; this is football, this is the NFL, and any team has a chance to win any game on any given Sunday. This is why we love it...
It's a wonder the Lions have any fans at all. Having a top pick in the draft virtually every single year, you'd think they'd be full of pro-bowlers. Instead there are 2 to 3 players on the entire roster that could make it on another team. Firing Matt Millen is a mere cover to make it seem like the team is on the rebound. The Lions should be stripped of the Thanksgiving Day rights (which by the way destroys Thanksgiving football for the rest of us...I doubt even Lions fans look forward to watching the blowing on Novermber 25).
The franchise shouldn't even re-locate. They should simply disappear. Let Ernie Sims and Calvin Johnson sign with another team and let the rest of the misfits and rejects try their luck in NFL Europe.
