I'm a Ravens fan but I think it'll really depend on who falls to them.

OL - You have to think Ander Smith, Monroe, Jason Smith, Oher, and even Britton will be gone. I'm not sure where the hole on their line is but I think they can wait until round 2 or just try and re-sign whoever is a FA.

WR - There will be plenty but unless Crabtree magically falls to 25 somehow I doubt they'll adress it it round one.

OLB - Joey Porter still has some gas left in the tank as he showed this season. He could use another guy on the other side and I think English, Matthews, and whichever other 3-4 rush guy falls to them will be looked at hard.

DB - I think this is ultimately they way they guy. You gotta think Vontae, Alphonso Smith, DJ Moore, Sean Smith, Delmas and others will be available and it's probably where they need the most help. The need fits the position their in if you know what I'm saying.

Who do they have at TE? Parcells loves tight ends, and if Pettigrew is there, he could be an option. I wouldn't forget Duke Robinson, either.

Defensively, I know they need a nose tackle, but I don't think they'll fix that in the first. English makes sense. So would Mathews... seems to be the definition of a Parcells guy.

They may end up trading this pick for Julius Peppers.

I would love it if Pettigrew fell and the Fins selected him. At OL I was thinking they might be taking a look at Duke R. as well. Duke would help the run game.

Depending on how things fall I would think best OL with the first. With the 1st pick in the 2nd I would think best DB or best OLB -- which ever had the higher rating at the pick and then the oposite with the other 2nd.

I would also love to see Pat White selected by the Fins. He'd bring a lot to the Wildcat. What round do you think he'll go in?

I think he'll go late 3rd-early 4th, but he could help or hurt himself at the combine.

But again, I wouldn't be surprised if Miami showed interest in Julius Peppers.

I'm not so sure they will. Peppers is a very good DE but I'm not sure because of the age and having to give up a 1st.

With pick 25 I'd say we'll go OL, DB or trade it to get a couple more selections later on day 1.

I'm hoping Ron Brace outta BC is still around when we're picking in Rd 2.

I think we go defense. CB Moore LB Matthews look good

I think it will depend on who is available at 25. It will be best available and best value between WR, CB and OLB. If WR I am hoping for H. Nicks, if CB I think V. Davis would have had to drop and OLB might be Maybin. I really think it will be Nicks and then in the 2nd if DE Michael Johnson is available at 44 he might be the pick there. If not then best available OLB or CB. At 56 I would love to see them get Pat White. To me he's just a winner and will be really fun to watch in the Wild Cat. I doubt the trifecta does that but just would like to see it happen.

Good calls. I like Maybin and Davis but the hole at WR may be too big. In the second Johnson would be nice but if he is not available I would not be surprised if we pick a DT like Ron Brace. Furg is aging and this draft would be the best timing. Brace out of BC fits the mold 6'4" 335+. Another intriguing player is Florida TE Ingram he is a TE/WR and we need O.

Parcells is not likely to pick a WR in the 1st. It's not his normal pattern. For one, it's a well established fact that selecting a WR whose skills transpose to the NFL is a crap shoot at best. I would think he'll go either for the CB or LB, and since Porter ain't getting any younger, my money is on the OLB/DE type of player who can rush the QB. It tends to make your DBs look a lot better when the opposing QB doesn't have time to look over the field very often. In fact, he may not go for the WR until the 3rd, and if Brace is still there that might be the selection in the 2nd with the years catching up quickly with Ferguson. A lot also has to do with how they feel about Ted Ginn, and how Camarillo is coming along. If they think Ginn will build on the solid season he had last year and Camarillo will fully recover from his injury and be effective again, WR may be well down on Parcells' list of draft needs, although I'm sure there will be at least one WR taken in rounds 3-5 somewhere for depth and to groom for the future.

I would bet on Ron Brace being drafted by the Dolphins in the second if he is available. You are right on the OLB/DE but what quality WRs do you see in the 3-5 round range? I believe Parcells really likes WR Ramses Barden he is big, fast, and plays with intensity. After all Parcells took Keyshawn with the 1st overall and this Barden kid has many on the same attributes? I really feel that Dolphins will trade out of the first because of the talent level will be very similar in the second round?

What are your thoughts on the phins drafting Pat White if available in the 4th? I think he'd be a very good pick up as he could be 3rd QB and work on the WR/Wildcat.

IF, and that's a big IF...Parcells takes a WR at 25, I think you might look as someone like Britt from Rutgers. I think he's a Parcells type of WR...he's bigger, and a tick faster than Nicks too. IMO, whoever gets him is going to get a really good player.
RedRaider80
The dolphins will be able to fill there needs at WR and DB on the 1st day with 3 picks in top 56. Something like Britt, Rashad Johnson and Jarius Byrd would help them out greatly..
